Since only about four months are related to the Texas territories, I thought I'd post the whole year separately. I've gotten to be pretty familiar with the names of the workers of the era and Tucson had some folks I've never heard of.
There was a brief attempt to run opposition, but it didn't even get off the ground. Weak, weak drawing town at this point, though the coming years would be better.

I've been coming across Smilin Bud Curtis and Honest John Cretoria a bit in Northern California during the mid to late 1950s. Neither one would be considered a star at that point but they are names I recognize.
Good find on that Johnny Valentine listing.
