In 1985, Mid-South ran an outdoor show in Tulsa. I can't recall if it was at Skelly Stadium (the football stadium), the minor league baseball park, or a grandstand at the Fairgrounds. Whatever the case, Watts brought in several out of town wrestlers and some matches eventually turned up on Power Pro Wrestling.

Does anyone have the results?

It may have been the July card although I remember seeing Wahoo McDaniel in a PPW match and seeing One Man Gang against someone else, although OMG may have pulled double duty.

"10,000 is prob close.  Pretty decent card.
Flair v. Rhodes.
Watts, Murdoch & Duggan v. Kamala, Kareem Muhammad & Akbar (Loser of Fall leaves for 60 days).  Watts was pinned.
Wahoo v. The Masked Champion
Jake Roberts v. Dibiase.
Reed v. Mantell"

I think the date is 7/27/85. Found it on KM.

The Nightmare, Randy Culley, Moondog Rex, Original Demolition Smash, Detroit Demolition, and a host of other gimmicks.

Here, he was the Nightmare, but changed his name to "the Champion" when he won the North American title.  I didn't like it because they were just getting him established as the Nightmare when he changed his name, then he lost the belt and changed his name back.  Too confusing, especially when the guy was pretty new and just getting established.

Thanks for that Bayou, I have a couple of Best of UWF/Mid South dvds and on one of them he's heavily featured. The name change was unexpected and ridiculous, but his turn on Eddie Gilbert was good viewing.
