I wonder about that 5/15 Los Angeles card. I also have this card for that date. Looking at the listings the 5/15 Los Angeles card might be the 5/27 Los Angeles card.

5/15/64 San Diego
Alberto Torres & Ramon Torres drew Fred Blassie & Mike Sharpe 2/3
Jacques McKinnon beat The Preacher
Art Michalik beat Pepper Martin
Nikita Mulkovich beat Dick Chaney

5/26/64 Long Beach, CA @ Municipal Auditorium
WWA Champion Dick the Bruiser beat Paul Diamond 35:00
Handicap Match
Fred Blassie drew Ramon Torres (one fall inside 20:00)
Mike Sharpe drew Alberto Torres
Nikita Mulkovich beat Pepper Martin

7/21/64 Long Beach, CA @ Municipal Auditorium
Mr Moto & Little Tokyo beat Dick The Bruiser & The Ripper
The Destroyer beat Ramon Torres
Hard Boiled Haggerty beat Vic Christy
Bill Dromo vs The Alaskan
Note: Not a title match but still part of Bruiser's run in Southern California.

8/25/64 Long Beach, CA @ Municipal Auditorium
Dominic DeNucci beat Dick The Bruiser on a 3rd fall dq in 30:00
Hard Boiled Haggerty bear Ramon Zavalza in 18:00
Bob Ellis beat Mike O'Leary in 10:00

Good point. The 5/27 card would have been a TV taping. The 5/15 card would have been a Friday night which of course when they had their big cards but not so much in 1964. I think the 5/15 L.A. card is wrong and they were in San Diego that right. Thanks for the Long Beach cards. I skipped right over them when parsing the list. The old eyesight ain't what it used to be.

I know the name of that tune. That's why I occasionally use the find function (Ctrl F on my puter) when doing this stuff. Don't always use it. But when my eyes are tired, I do.

Sorry to clutter this up with things about which only I care, but I have some questions:

Is this Paul Diamond the same guy who showed up in the AWA in 1970, or somebody else?

Mike Sharp with the permanently disabled forearm, or his father?

And as for a chuckle there was this:
"Rip Hawk over Dick Cheney"

But what about this:
"Bruiser beat Broadway Venus."

Who?  Wasn't that a chick?

I am enjoying this.
