What dbaker typed.

I am so far behind on things right now, it's ridiculous. I haven't even started on Florida Mat Wars for 1945 and the 1973 issue is coming soon. Clip Corner sent me a CD Rom of clippings and I've barely scratched the surface of it. Kriss has posted research I haven't gotten to yet. Same with your research OFG. And with carlton st's latest research. And Hammer To Fall's latest Georgia research. Plus AndyO always has stuff I don't.

While researching Bruiser, I've been correcting and adding to my AWA and WWA research. Plus I have some St. Louis questions concerning different dates from Larry Matysik's research and the research done by historians in the two volume book on St. Louis. I'll eventually post a topic at both WC and KM about that.

true I stick to my area and a set time span or it would never end

I do love this thread seeing all the different areas and the cross section of smaller towns that you don't see that often and appreciate all the work that goes into it

okay- thanks for the feedback.  The hits are on par with claw's DTB career thread so it must be well-visited.  As mentioned earlier, it's great to find multiple results with search phrases or words like 'six man tag' or 'a real corker'.   I like the brevity and ease of some results, and appreciate the narrative style of others, where the match twists almost put you in the crowd, years before you were born.

I will spare you some time OFG,  Stampede for 1970 I had done a few years ago, im missing a few things that i "do" have, just haven't uploaded to my site yet.

http://superstarbillygraham.net/cities/stampede/index.html

Hate to see you do extra work

When I researched Stampede for 1970 5 or 6 years ago I came up with the following cities who ran weekly:

Lethbridge
Saskatoon
Regina
Calgary
Edmonton

On tuesdays these cities ran every other week:
Medicine Hat
Red Deer

I ended up with 3 to 4 empty dates a month for 1970. I am thinking two small cities that might have ran on a every other week cycle.  And I do not know if they had a certain day of the week off with no event happening.

Red Deer and Medicine Hat didnt start running the circut in 1970 till march.  I am unsure of what cities were used in January and February.   Wayne Coleman couldnt help and a few other workers I tried to pick their brains couldnt remember the other cities either.  I guess i could always try to contact Abby to see if he remembers anything.

Here's a link to a couple of preview articles (one links off of this one under 'related articles') but there's no telling what the actual lineup wound up being based off of these clippings.  http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=iYQtAAAAIBAJ&sjid=s5sFAAAAIBAJ&pg=2254,1009667&dq=bert-bertolini&hl=en

I can check in my local paper and see what they have, I know they carried the stuff for Hershey all through the 60's.

Thanks Ron- Those new additions from Canadian papers cover a lot of ground, so I'll try to steer around 1970.

In a lot of cases I wonder if I have stumbled onto 'new finds' for a particular category.  In doing some spot checking, I found one of the Ohio/West Virginia shows that GCW was doing doesn't show up on Georgia Wrestling History.  Today I posted a GCW card in Gainesville, Florida of all spots.
