I'm surprised this promotion ran that deep into South Carolina. Orangeburg is located roughly halfway between Columbia and Charleston, just a bit off of I-26. The town is technically part of the Columbia TV market, but viewers may have been able to pull All South in off the Augusta station. Would anyone in that market have had WTCG-17 (later WTBS) from Atlanta on cable at that point? One thing is certain, this had to have been a major hassle for the crew coming to and from Atlanta. There's no direct route and the indirect route is filled with twisting, two lane state highways.

WTCG didn't hit cable until late 1976.

In 1974, half of Atlanta reportedly couldn't even pick up WTCG. People laughed when Turner said he had bought broadcast rights for the Braves.
