I guess "Sterling" got in the ring in 78 or 79 .... Georgia ? Not sure. Anyway he became who we know today as Hulk Hogan. Would love to see some "Sterling Golden" results.

Also on a Wrestling Gold video Hogan (wrestling as Hogan) wrestles some guy known as the The Outlaw and they mention Hogan had been crowned NWA champion for thirty seconds ....I am wondering of Hogan was in the ring with Race at some point in the early part of his career.

Don't have the date but at some point in 1979 I believe, "Terry Boulder" and Race did the AWA finish.  Boulder pinned Race, was awarded the title, but had previously thrown Race over the top rope so he was DQ'ed.  This was before he was Sterling Golden, when he was stilling working for Gulas' territory in Nashville.  He became Golden in Knoxville soon after.

I'm gonna have to dig around my collection of CD ROMs to find the one with Hogan's ring record on it. This could take me a while.

Forgot I had these saved. The listing was already posted, but...

First, though, the December 3, 1979 Augusta listing is incorrect. When I sent Rich Tate the results, I must have listed the 11/5/79 card twice.

The correct Augusta results for that date are:
Ray Candy (TV champ) d. Killer Karl Kox
Ole Anderson d. (DQ) Ivan Koloff
The Superstar d. Buzz Sawyer (Killer Khan listed instead of Superstar in the ad)
Tom Shaft drew Ricky Fields
Tommy Rich & Tony Atlas d. The Superstar & Austin Idol

For the 11-19-79 card, Davis Bruno is listed in the results. Chuck (Chick?) Donovan was listed in the ad.

Might be the real Bret.  He was very beiefly in Georgia at around that time.  I have a match between him and Buzz Sawyer from Georgia that went to a 10-minute draw that I think was from '79 or '80.
