He was on winnepegs TV Channel 3, CBWT,  the paper is dated October 10, 1960 and is listing the TV matches for that night as:

Sandor Kovacs vs Gino Marella
Ivan Kalmakoff vs Domenic Bravo
Herb Gewich vs Whipper Billy Watson

The earliest match I show over all in clipping form is his first appearnace in Syracuse, NY., meeting Baron Gattoni on March 29, 1960, and the paper notes he wrestled the week before in Rochester, NY.,  again against Baron Gattoni.  But then again I never was on the look out for Monsoon stuff.

I assume the "Gorilla Monsoon" character from "Manchuria" didn't happen until his "Capital Wrestling/WWWF" days ~ right?

I do have a newspaper article somewhere on the good gorilla, where it mentions who he beat for the All Asiatic title, and the location i believe.  Plus the article deals with that he only has to defend it once a year.   lol

I had a friend of a friend who went to college with him at Ithaca in Upstate New York. This guy was not what you would call friends with him but he did know him.
