When Patera did his return in '87, Gorilla put him over by saying that Patera caused him to retire.  Just wondering when Gorilla's last match actually was, and if it was against Patera.  Thanks in advance

EW EW EW EW I know the answer to this one (going to let Claw answer it though)

I can tell you that Gorilla wrote a weekly column in the Philadelphia Journal where he said that if he did not beat Patera that he would retire. Hence Patera taunting him after the match.

Monsoon's weekly column consisted of ratings, news about upcoming shows and answering the mailbag. Totally kayfabed.

And boy did he fuck this one up

Beej or anybody else,

You can answer these questions if you want to. There's no law saying I must be the one to answer them. Hell Jamie Mark knew about Dusty & Adrian Street teaming in Florida because he's an avid vid watcher and a knowledgeable guy. I don't have results of that, only have Dusty & Street facing each other in Florida.

Gorilla Monsoon did lose a retirement match against Patera in Philly but came back a time or two as a substitute when somebody was a no show.

Go to hell. I went to wrestling matches in the early 80's I was practically in the business.

i remember this. they had to write a retraction a week or 2 later. it's amazing that he didn't due any research to check this story out before writing his article.
