Thesz was not in Dallas in March 1962 ------------------------------------ 1963 01/23 San Antonio, TX Lou Thesz no contest with Rito Romero 01/30 San Antonio, TX Lou Thesz no contest with Rito Romero January 30, 1963 is correct. Not sure where this comes from.... 1964 07/01 Amarillo, TX Lou Thesz beat Ernie Ladd Ernie Ladd wrestled in a tag match in San Antonio that night. 7/1/64 San Antonio, TX @ Wrestlethon Arena Ernie Ladd & Tex McKenzie beat Kurt Von Stroheim & Karl Von Stroheim when Ladd pinned Karl. ---------------------------------------------------- July 1st, Western States ran in Lubbock TX July 2nd Amarillo. But Thesz did not appear in Amarillo until July 23rd, he wrestled Dory Jr. ------------------------------------------------------------------ WAIT---- According to the wrestlingdata site, Thesz faced Ernie Ladd on Friday July 3rd in Austin TX!!! That must be it. McKinley Pickens was Pussycat Pickens. For a while people thought that Pickens was Abdullah. When claw did an Abdullah match list here, he included Pickens matches. I think it was in doing this list that it was discovered that they were different people. Pickens was from Texas and Abdullah was Canadian. I'm not even sure how they were connected in the first place.
