I am guessing 'no'. Flair is ascending (1976-1980) at the time Bruno is winding down. Bruno working in the northeast and Flair in the Carolina. Guessing their paths never crossed.

Or did they?

Yes, Flair wrestled on two MSG cards that Sammartino alo appeared on in 1976, including the match were Sammartino's neck was broken.

WWWF @ New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden - March 1, 1976
Televised on HBO - featured Vince McMahon on commentary
Rocky Tamayo defeated Johnny Rivera
Dominic DeNucci defeated Baron Mikel Scicluna
Ric Flair pinned Pete Sanchez at 10:05 with a suplex (Flair's MSG debut) (The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection)
Louis Cyr pinned Pat Barrett at 11:05 with a backbreaker
Superstar Billy Graham & Ivan Koloff defeated WWWF Tag Team Champions Tony Parisi & Louis Cerdan in a Best 2 out of 3 falls match at around the 18-minute mark; fall #1: both teams were disqualified at 11:58 when all four men began fighting in the ring and the champions attempted to make double pins; fall #2: the champions were disqualified when Bruno Sammartino interfered and attacked both challengers, clearing them from the ring; prior to the bout, the Grand Wizard escorted Graham to the ring while Capt. Lou Albano did the same for Koloff; during the contest, Graham & Koloff "injured" Cerdan's leg, with the challengers then double teaming Parisi until Parisi's cousin, Sammartino, made the save
WWWF World Champion Bruno Sammartino pinned Ernie Ladd at 11:25 after the challenger missed a splash off the top; prior to the bout, the champion was escorted to the ring by Arnold Skaaland
Susan Green pinned Kitty Adams (sub. for Women's Champion the Fabulous Moolah) at 9:21; Moolah was deemed unable to compete after breaking her collarbone the previous night in Toronto
US Champion Bobo Brazil pinned Crusher Blackwell with the Coco Butt at 8:22

WWWF @ New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden - April 26, 1976
Televised on HBO - included Vince McMahon on commentary:
WWWF Tag Team Champion Louis Cerdan defeated Johnny Rodz
WWWF Tag Team Champion Tony Parisi defeated Baron Mikel Scicluna
Ric Flair defeated Frankie Williams
Stan Hansen defeated WWWF World Champion Bruno Sammartino via referee's decision when the match was stopped due to blood moments after Hansen hit the lariat after putting a foreign object in his elbow pad; after the bout, Bruno continued to attack Hansen; it was during the bout that Bruno sustained a broken neck from a bodyslam, though it was Hansen's lariat which was credited for causing the injury (Hansen's MSG debut)

Great stuff guys. Was looking for the two in the same match but this is interesting also. Had no clue about Chicago show and had forgotten about the MSGs.

Sammartino was the 'special referee' for a series of matches that Flair had with Randy Savage in WCW in June and July of 1996.

Hartford, CT 06/28/96
Philadelphia, PA 06/29/96
New York City, NY 06/30/96
Landover, MD 07/01/96

One of the matches is on YouTube.
