I know I haven't been posting nearly as much here as I once did. Basically, I'm doing my best to update the wrestlingdata.com site, and to post the same stuff here doubles the time it takes to record everything. What I will do, though, is keep a record here of everything I am adding, and if you are interested, ask me some questions, or check out the site. There is no real rhyme or reason with what I add, but right now, I'm trying to get the Danny McShain record as complete as possible. If you want to see that, message me and I'll email you a copy. I've added thousands of cards to that site over the past few years. I know people have some criticisms of the site, and there are and always will be mistakes, and cagematch looks better, but for me, it's indispensable to be able to cross-reference every wrestler, town and date, which I couldn't do any other way. A small list so far, because I'm only including what I have done this since Dec 2020, (mostly) in direct relation to the McShain book. I'll keep this updated and bump every now and again. If there is anything you'd like to see, send me a message and I'll see what I can do. I'm far from being a historian, just a results collector who isn't terribly organized and doesn't have the time or incredible dedication of you Kriss, Ron, Andy0, Yohe at Classics and countless others put. The results are really just for me and give credit or acknowledge they aren't mine if I post anywhere, which is rare. But im like sports card collectors looking for every error card or variant- I want every result from every wrestling card ever. I keep forgetting to bug Yohe for any record books he's still got kicking around. The McShain one would be great. Just keep doing what you're doing. Doesn't Cagematch have a ton of people compiling stuff? How many at wrestlingdatacom?

As far as I know, cagematch has many more editors adding current indie results from around the world, but very few, if any, adding historical data from newspapers etc. I know Paul who also has posted here is trying to remedy that. The world only needs one on-line wrestling database, but whatever. There's also profightdb out there as well. I would never be able to build my own database, so I'm just happy that the site allows me to cross-reference everything at a glance, it really helps to work out who was who around the wrestling world. With the site undergoing maintenance at the moment I thought I'd post an update on my additions. (The site is still up right now, but we can't edit.) As always, when I start looking in one area, I fall deep down a rabbit hole. I'd been trying to add more to my Danny McShain record, and have now started looking at the whole of California for 1933-34. If you are interested in the careers of pre-NWA world champions such as Gus Sonnenberg, Jim Browning, Jim Londos, Ed Don George, Bill Longson and Dean Detton, I've added many new cards featuring them. Someone may have done all this before, and some of it was already on the site (to which I have made corrections and additions), but most of this wasn't on the site before I started all this.

I really appreciate wrestlingdata and feel it's far easier to navigate than the other site.

I'm now into 1935. I will get around to looking at Los Angeles eventually, but with so many arenas, there was pretty much at least one show every week day, so it's a bit daunting. When I get to the years when McShain worked LA, I'll get round to it"

Just a note for anyone who is following this... I'm adding almost nothing to the year 1936, and eventually 1938. Kaspar is doing some fantastic work on the site for those two years.
