Yeah I know they are still going on in theory and even back in the day the WWWf and the NWA were the same band of people. I am thinking this was the last true inter-promotional card Portland – 9-24-85. Flair (NWA Champ) vs Magnum, Road Warriors (AWA champs) vs Billy Jack & Sgt Slaughter , Ivan Koloff & Crusher Kruschev vs Bobby Jaggers & Steve Pardee Pretty sure the Shea Stadium shows brought in guys like Jack Brisco and Greg Gagne and I believe Race vs Graham at the Orange Bowl had inter-promotional activities also. Right? Were there other significant ones?

The Omni card that featured Backlund vs Flair. Snuka and Putski were on the card and they were WWF at the time. May have 1 or 2 more.

May 21, 1985 at the height of Roddy Piper's heel run in the WWF right after the first Wrestlemania, the WWF let him return to Portland for PNW's 60th Anniversary Show against Buddy Rose. From what I've heard, Piper and Rose made a private bet about who would be seen as the heel by the fans since Piper was the hottest heel on the planet and Rose was the local heel. Piper was given a hero's welcome and worked the match as the face. Later on the show, AWA champ Rick Martel beat PNW champ Mike Miller and in the main event NWA champ Ric Flair went to a 40-minute draw with PNW star Billy Jack Haynes. I'm sure there's no way you'll find a later date than 1985 when WWF, NWA, and AWA stars wrestled on the same show. I've always een very curious about the backroom dealings on this. This sort of thing was so unlike Vince in 1985. I have no idea why he allowed Piper to do that unless Piper threatened to quit. Last Tangle in Tampa had Race-Rhodes for the NWA title and Backlund-Muraco for the WWF title, if I remember right. I think Hogan vs Andre was on the big Superdome card in the same time frame, and those cards being in 1980 would have placed them in the WWF at the time.

I would suggest that since Vince did not see Portland as any sort of a threat to his expansion plan at that time, it wouldn't have been such a big deal....as opposed to, say, lending Piper to a Pro Wrestling USA show in upstate new York. Portland being successful wasn't going to hurt Vince very much and he likely recognized that.

Black Angus Campbell wrestled Superstar Billy Graham for the WWF title on a Muchnick card in St Louis in 1977 and Bruno had earlier wrestled Bill Miller for the WWF title in St Louis in 1974. There are probably others. Verne Gagne appeared on a Central States card in Des Moines billed as the AWA World's champion circa 1971 and Verne and Geigel co-promoted quite a few cards around that time in the upper midwest.

UWF was copromoting Superdome shows with JCP in 1986, like Crockett Cup and a Summer show that had people like Ricky Morton v. Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes teaming with Watts and a UWF guy (Dr. Death, I think) against Korchenko and the Kollofs, and Robert Gibson v. Baron Von Raschke. And of course there was the AWA/WCCW/CWF/Memphis thing in late 88. I don't know if those are what y'all were looking for, but I think they qualify. Also, wasn't there a copromotional show or two in New Jersey in early 1986 (AWA/NWA - right after Wrestlerock - which reminds me that Barry Windham, Mike Rotundo, The Fabs, The Road Warriors, Jimmy garvin, and Michael Hayes all appeared at Wrestlerock while working for other companies, some with JCP). Definitely in Fall of 85 there were still a couple. I know Hacksaw Duggan, Jake the Snake and Nord the Barbarian did one in Jersey (in addition to the AWA/JCP guys) very shortly after the first SuperClash in Chicago. Either October or late September. I believe the Road Warriors defended the AWA belts against the Double Axe Attack (Hennigs) on that same show, though they were all working for Gagne at the time.
