WHo know what Hartford's name was when he started out and was working under a hood?

The Hangman ?
Lord knows he may have worked it at some point starting out as they turned over gimmicks like crazy back then - but Hartford was one of the Masked Yankees with Big John Quinn when he first started out.

Hartford Love worked a couple of shows at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City for the IWA. I am curious to know which of those cards was the one racked by chaos? The ushers staged a wildcat strike (their leaders allegedly paid off by the WWWF), there was a near riot, and even a swarm of mosquitos!

I think the "riot" occurred on the second, the August 7th one. They probably wouldn't have come back if had happened on the first card. I recall reading about the recollections of Jerry Lawler, who was only on the second card, about the "riots".
