Okay so Piper beats Valentine in the famous "Dog Collar Match" at Starrcade. If you watch old TV shows from that time-frame Piper and Valentine were at least scheduled to have some "Dog Collar" rematches.

Did they happen and how did they play out?

The "x" factor here is that Piper was heading to the WWF and you know what the "time honored tradition" is if you are leaving town soon. In retrospect I am surprised that Piper won at Starrcade.

Valentine followed Piper to the WWF at pretty much the same time in January 1984. I think Valentine made his return to WWF TV 2 weeks or so after Piper made his "debut" on TV.

One cool "tip of the cap" to their previous feud was when Capt. Lou made Piper & Valentine shake hands on the Pit. They at first were just starring at each other but at the end Lou had them hugging

Valentine stayed around a bit longer than Piper until late March of 1984. Dick Slater turned on Valentine and eventually beat Greg for the United States Title. NCJames would know more.

Valentine actually did the next Tv taping after Piper in the WWF (aired last weekend in Jan. '84). Back then, they would usually do a set of WWF Tv tapes that would air while they finished up in the territory they were coming from, before they started working WWF house shows.

i always loved the piper/valentine moment on piper's pit after them feuding in the carolinas.  the " smarts" that read the apter mags knew that these 2 guys feuded for months just a couple of weeks ago.
