I research high school sports in various papers and occasionally come across a card. Because I don't know if Rich Tate will do anything with these anytime soon, here is what I have found so far. Other than the already-posted Summerville stuff.

Apologies if I actually posted some of these before.

November 25, 1950 Moultrie, GA (Moultrie High Gym)
Lucky Gilpin vs. Karl Kowalski
Al Massey vs. Butcher Boy martin

December 9, 1950 Moultrie, GA (Moultrie High Gym)
Billy Sandow vs. Karl Kowalski

August 29, 1951 Marietta, GA (Larry Bell Center)
6-man battle royal:
Art Nelson, Don McIntyre, Farmer Jones, Lord Finis Hall, Red Dugan, Maurice Roberre

This was the start of a weekly series. I'll go back someday and do further research.

November 5, 1953 Cedartown, GA (Cedartown High Gym)
Ann Laverne vs. Catherine Simpson
Bobby Ford vs. Bobby Lane

November 21, 1953 Cedartown, GA (Cedartown High Gym)
Mildred Burke (world champ) vs. Millie Stafford
Red McIntyre no contest Red Dugan

November 28, 1953 Cedartown, GA (Cedartown High Gym)
Red Dugan vs. Red McIntyre (Texas Death)
Bob Shipp vs. Tiny Oxford

December 5, 1953 Cedartown, GA (Cedartown High Gym)
Gorgeous George d. Red McIntyre

December 12, 1953 Cedartown, GA (Cedartown High Gym)
Bob Shipp/Red Dugan vs. Don McIntyre/Red McIntyre
Nell Stewart vs. Ida Mae Martinez

May 29, 1954 Eastman, GA (Eastman High Gym)
Susan Smith vs. Millie Stafford
Red McIntyre vs. Bob Shipp

Having seen pictures of the place, I bet there was a collective groan when they drove up and saw this facility. I hope it didn't rain.

September 30, 1954 Swainsboro, GA (Nancy Auditorium)
Choo Choo Lynn vs. Bat Man
Sailor Blitz vs. Ken Frier
Lee Grier vs. Shuck Music
Lou Stinson vs. Dick Barkley

Referee: Yank Gavel

December 2, 1955 Greensboro, GA (City Auditorium)
Tarzan White vs. Whitey Whittler
Belle Starr vs. Barbara Baker

Referee: Ed Smith

White spent 1955 and 1956 as head coach of Menlo High on the Georgia-Alabama line. Two weeks before this card, he ended a nice 0-9-1 season.

November 26, 1956 Moultrie, GA (Moultrie High Gym)
Bonnie Watson vs. Caroline Cordero
Tom Drake vs. Chris Tolos

August 12, 1961 Dublin, GA (National Guard Armory)

I've always wondered if Red Dugan was later known as Los Angeles referee Johnny Red Shoes Dugan.

These are the only Dugan identification informations I have.

Astoria OR: October 10, 1951
(Armory) ... Andy Tremaine vs Con Bruno ... Carl Engstrom vs Dan Dugan (of Santa Monica CA) (aka Johnny "Red Shoes" Dugan) ... Jack Lipscomb vs Dale Kiser ... NOTE: The following week, promoter Harry Elliott announces that he is shutting down his series of weekly cards.

Jacksonville, Florida: December 17, 1942
Al Sidd beat Sailor Chuck Gore (cor) ... George Romanoff beat Jack McAdams ... George Taylor beat Red (Dixie) Dugan (dq) ... Referee: Tiger Joe Marsh

For his Georgia appearances in 1963 he would have been over 50 years old

"I am sad to report that he passed away at 1 A.M. Monday March 26, 2001, in Santa Monica California"  <== from a Red Shoes obit

If he was always billed from Santa Monica that might help quite a bit

The Red Raiders listed were Billy Garrett & Dick Dunn IIRC. They also worked in Georgia and Florida as a version of the Medics.

I have several clippings for the Augusta shows from the Aiken,SC newspaper.Several of them mention Bill McDaniel as the commentator for "Live Augusta Wrestling" during the year of 1956. At least one from that year mentions that Paul Jones has enlisted the help of Bill McDaniel to promote the cards in Augusta. He must not have used the name Billy Blassie when he wrestled in Augusta or at least the paper in Aiken did not use that name. Sometimes they ran as many as three articles a week promoting those shows. Here is one of those articles:

Rocca Heads Bell Mat Card In Augusta

Thursday August 9, 1956

Two of the greatest television stars in wrestling have been booked at Bell Auditorium this Thursday.Argentina Rocca, 222 pounds from South America will wrestle Gene ( Mr. America ) Stanlee, 228 pounds, of Chicago, Ill. in a one fall or one hour time limit. This is a match that wrestling promoters dream about.Argentina Rocca is one of the top-notch money makers throughout the world. He is really Mr. Boxoffice, being one of the finest athletes to step or rather jump into the ring. This human jumping-jack is a bundle of energyand the most impressionable wrestler to ever come to Augusta. Rocca is a man who can use his feet as well as most men can use their hands and arms. Stanlee was glad to get the opportunity at Rocca. Stanlee said he would beat Rocca just like he has beaten everyone else he has wrestled. Only time will tell.

The semi-final bout will be the 231 pounder from Detroit, Mich., Art Nelson, matched with Bill McDaniel, 234 pounds from Augusta,Ga. Bill is known in Augusta for his commentary on “Live Augusta Wrestling”on TV.  Nelson is known for owning one half of the world tag team partnership. This will be one fall or twenty minute time limit.

Eddie Gossett the other half of the championship, a 224 pounder from Chattanooga, Tenn; will wrestle Red McIntyre, 231 pounds of Atlanta, GA. in a one fall or twenty minute time limit match. This is the first time these two men have had a single match and should be exciting.

Opening the card at 8:30 p.m. sharp, will be the return of Bibber McCoy, 228 pounds of Cambridge, Mass; to meet Black Jack Dillon, a tough 236 pounder, of Chattanooga, Tenn.

There will not be an advance in the price of tickets for this match. Tickets may be purchased at Bell Auditorium every day. For reservations, telephone 2-7070.

There will be a special reserved section for colored people.

I forwarded the clipping of this card to Rich Tate recently. It has not been posted on the GWH site yet:

Bell Mat Card Slated Friday with Star Cast

May 10, 1957

Augusta, Georgia

The all star wrestling card will be presented this Friday night at the Bell Auditorium with two feature attractions on the bill

The Southern Title tilt will see Kurt Von Brawner, the arrogant but capable Southern Champion takes on a highly touted George Drake, newcomer from California. Best two out of three falls or sixty minutes will govern the scrap.

Miss Baby Doe, the 76 pound midget girl will try to avenge her loss last week when she meets Caroline Bennett in a two out of three fall affair with a sixty minute time limit.

Opening the card, newcomer Nick Roberts will take on veteran Babe Zaharias, starting at 8:30 Friday night.

Note: According to records on the Georgia Wrestling History site, Kurt Von Brawner lost the Southern Title prior to this card.

Thank you very much. This will be helpful for me to distinguish Jimmy Brawner and Jack/John M. Wilson.
Speaking of Wilson, I have the old Wrestling Real Names floppy disc (by Dominic Macika & Royal Duncan & Gary Will) and his entry is

WILSON, JACK
1967-1977   Karl von Brauner              South US, CA
1966-1967   Fritz Von Brauner             GA, FL, NC
1963        Mr. Zero                      Japan
1958-1963   Kurt Von Brauner              MN
            Moose Wilson

I know Karl is bogus. Fritz was around Oregon and Georgia in 1957. My problem is that I haven't read anything resembling a confirmation on the identification other than this list and I am doubting the above entry.
