Promoter was Ad Santel.

Not really an exciting year, but Strangler Ed Lewis begins his last gasp attempt at making money. He shows up as a special referee in December and wrestles two bouts in the city. He'd wrestle more in 1947.

Frank Sexton is considered the world champ. The only other title up for grabs in the Pacific Coast title.

Other names of note are Bronko Nagurski, Sandor Szabo, Vincent Lopez, and Steve Casey.

Good to see Marvin Jones and Otto Kuss as wrestlers. They are normally referees in the Texas research I am doing.

Pat Fraley later teamed with Fred Fraley in Texas. They were billed as a father (Pat)/son(Fred) tag team. No idea if they actually were related. Fred was doing an Elvis Rock and Roll gimmick at the time.

Dutch Hefner I've seen billed as Ernie Hefner in St. Louis.

Best name of the bunch. Pantaleon Manlapig.

"The newspaper says that Murietta once boxed under the name of Bob Larue."

http://www.boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Human:188121

Alias: Bob Pico

Could he have been related to the Roberto Pico Sr. & Jr. ? His alias makes this seem at least possible, or why else would he even have it
