Report: Tigers' Jarrod Washburn would like to return to Mariners
The Detroit News
Free-agent left-hander Jarrod Washburn, not likely to re-sign with the Tigers, says a return to the Seattle Mariners would be among his top choices.

"Seattle definitely is toward the top of my list," Washburn told MLB.com. "I'll just have to see what happens when the free-agent season begins."

Washburn made eight starts for the Tigers in 2009 after being acquired from Seattle for Luke French and Mauricio Robles. Plagued by left knee trouble, Washburn was 1-3 for Detroit with a 7.33 ERA over 43 innings. Washburn has a career record of 107-109 in 12 seasons with the Angels, Mariners and Tigers.

With a record like that you just know one of the New York teams will sign him to a 6 year deal for around $ 100 million.

WOW. I never would have thought he pitched 12 seasons. Seems more like 5 or 6.

Washburn's the kind of guy you can pick up off the waivers in fantasy if the matchup is good, and if you feel like rolling the dice.
