Sounds like they are making room for Bill.

Nah, Cowher won't come here. My guess is they hire Brian Billick

They met with Cowher in N.C. already, but I don't think he is going to take it.

Heard that Cowher would have interest Tampa, Houston, Chicago. Cowher in Chicago probably would be like the second coming of Ditka.

I  can almost guarantee that Cowher isn't going to take any job until Fox is relieved of his duties in Charlotte.

Fox and His staff are coming back for the 2010 season. It sounds like Cowher is tired of waiting for that job.

He's supposedly already assembling a staff. So I guess if he's their choice after the first group has turned them down, he'll take it.

Not gonna happen, Bears are in a bad situation. Their current team is sub par and on draft day Chicago won't approach the podium until the 3rd round unless they make a trade. That's a rough rebuilding step to get around. That leaves free agency, but in an uncapped year I don't see the Bears going on a spending spree.

He may be, or he's letting them know that he's considering offers so that they'll maybe jump a little sooner.

Unless by some miracle, the Panthers find a prodigy at QB and just start steamrolling folks, Fox won't last past next year.

And Lovie is coming back next year too, although Ron Turner and most of the Offensive line staff were canned today.

No way with Cowher going to Buffalo.  I would be TOTALLY shocked for that happen.

I still think Buffalo needs a young, motivated guy to put spark into the team, the organization and the fans.  I do not see Billick doing that.

The rumors I have been hearing is that Cowher may be using the "Parcells approach" by throwing his name out there with different teams to raise the stakes and possibly force a move by a front office.  The one move that keeps getting talked about is having John Fox fired.  Even if the Panthers would want to give Fox one more year, Cowher may be trying to play chicken with them and indicating to them that he is willing to somewhere else.

At least the NFL regular season ends later now. Used to be that it was done around Dec. 22 and all these coaches would get shitcanned in the next two days.

I think the Jets fired Joe Walton on Christmas Eve.
