Charles Barkley calls out LeBron

Hall of Famer Charles Barkley was the latest to call out LeBron James on Thursday, saying he wants to join the NBA superstar's endless list of critics.

The TNT analyst was responding to James' recent Twitter post that read he was "taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer."

"I heard about LeBron's little tweet today that he's remembering everybody who said anything bad about him," Barkley said Thursday on ESPN Radio 103.3 Dallas/Fort Worth. "And he said 'everybody.' Well, I want him to make sure that he puts my name on that
    ."

Barkley took particular issue with the one-hour "The Decision" special on ESPN, where James announced he was going to sign with the Heat to play with friends and fellow superstars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

"I thought that his little one-hour special was a punk move," said Barkley, who earlier in the summer said James would never be Michael Jordan.

"I thought them dancing around on the stage was a punk move, and I thought he should've stayed in Cleveland. Him joining Dwyane Wade's team was very disappointing to me."

James has been the target of much criticism this summer and stated his plan for vengeance on Twitter.

"Don't think for one min that I haven't been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean everyone," James wrote.

Gotta love Chuck. He says what's on His mind, and doesn't care if people like it or not. He's always been one of My favorite Athlete's of all time.

At least that was at the end of Barkley's career.  If James was 37, no one would have begrudged him going to Miami.

Barkley carried Suns teams with Thunder Dan and Cedric Ceballos every year.  Before that, he carried some mediocre Sixer teams as well.

And, there's a big difference between a guy who was a great player and a guy that was supposed to be the next Jordan taking the easy way out.

I have no problem with James joining Wade's team.  But the special WAS a punk move and you are right that it is a big difference between the over the hill gang Houston had and these guys getting together in their primes.  But I don't have a problem with it. Magic Johnson was surrounded by great talent. Had Kareem, Worthy and several other all-star calibre players. Bird had Mchale, Parrish, Archibald and later DJ plus several other top calibre guys.  I like James and Wade together, but there IS a big difference between this team and the old men of Houston and that special WAS kind of chicken shit.
