Hey Beej, what is Your opinion on the Eagles employing Vick?

They are keeping him and putting in spot plays for him to "justify" their signing of him. I don't think he can play anymore and he won't be on the team next year.

They ought to make him return kicks or just be a running back.

Go with The Jets my good man, at least then you can say at the end of the season that "My" team finally won a Super Bowl.

Eff the Jets. Don't get caught in the hype. Their bandwagon is filling up and they have some punks on the team too.

Lions should be fun to watch and I think they are on the rise, but they won't be a true contender yet. If you want to win it all now, no, but if you might stick with them it might be good to get in now before they blow up and the bandwagon fills up.

Eff the Bears

49ers are in a similar boat to the Lions, IMO. I could see rooting for them.  I expect them to be better than the Lions right now too. I'm picking them to win their division.

I like the G-Men and am a big Eli fan, but if you are boycotting the Eagles just because of the Vick situation, do you really want to switch over to an in-division rival?

But I still say the Saints. Yes, they are the champs and had an overflowing bandwagon last year, but so many are already jumping off and hardly anyone outside of their serious fan base thinks they have a prayer to repeat. I think rooting for them to repeat after 45 years of futility will be more fun than last year, and that's saying a LOT because last year was straight magic.  And like I said, no one is more fun to watch.

Not the hype. Rex is the son of the great Buddy Ryan.

I would say root for the Bears. The only thing going for them is that they play outside compared to the Colts and Vikings (pussies). At the very least they should be hilarious (again)  just to see how many picks Cutler throws this year.

And I agree, I like Bret Favre too.  I could give two shits what he does in the offseason and I would do the same damn thing as him if I were in his shoes.

I can't stand Brett Favre. I'm a Bears fan. He has played for the Pack and The Vikes. He is the enemy.

You'd purposely screw over your employer who pays you millions and kisses your ass just so you can get increased media attention each year (screw the skipping offseason workout crap, he could still do that and tell the team if he's coming back or not)? Why?

Also, I'd hate Favre on my team because I KNOW he's going to choose to try and make crazy plays late in important games "because it's fun," and no doubt, for people to say "look what Brett Favre did" rather than do what's right to win the game. He's done it time and time again.  That selfishness makes him fun to watch to some, but the fact remains is that he will screw his team on and off the field in exchange for "look at Brett Favre!"

The "I'm retiring, oh wait no I'm not" stuff is annoying but what makes me dislike King Favre is how he's pulled this shit two years in a row now just to avoid having to do the drudgery part of training camp. If I was a player on the Vikings, it would piss me off for someone to just waltz in when the preseason games start after I spent the last month or so busting ass in the summer heat.  It's not like the staff is going to make him do two-a-days since it's clear this coaching staff kisses his ass, it comes off as him just doing what he wants to do instead of putting the team first.

Thing is, I bet he could still work with the team better and skip off season workouts. And it's a good bit longer than 2 years that he's been doing this. Just two years on the Vikes.
