The key for the Celtics, Lakers, Heat and any other team that might be a contender is staying healthy. Like I always say with Baseball, it's a LONG season.

Bumped because I don't want to lose track of this thread.

Interesting two game stretch for the Cavs...at home against Boston tonight followed up against Miami on Thursday.

I hope the Cavs decimate Miami.

There are a zillion problems with the Miami Heat but the main one that jumps out at me is Wade and James aren't a good fit for each other. Both men need the ball in their hands to be effective. This isn't Jordan and Pippen where Scottie knew he was the number two guy and learned how to compliment Jordan perfectly.

Also Bosh isn't in the same class as James, Kobi, etc. He could have stayed in Toronto
& continued to be the go to guy, but he'd rather be a # 2 guy elsewhere.
I just hope the Craptors don't reach double figures in victories so that they'll
get a high dfraft choice.

With all the bullshit hype surrounding the Heat and them claiming that they're supposedly going to win all these championships when they hadn't even played one single game yet, I'm happy that they're off to such a shitty start. I'm rooting for them to lose every game and am going to laugh my ass off if they end up not even making the playoffs.

Yeah, but Pippen handled the ball a LOT with the Bulls. it was the Triangle. It would suit James and Wade well. James WANTS to be a more complimentary type of player. He came into the league as a giant point guard, ala Magic Johnson, though he didn't quite pan out that way, he is still very well suited the the Scottie Pippen Point Forward role. He was only doing the "scoring machine" thing in Cleveland because he had to. I just think they don't have the right offensive system in place.

Impossible, barring injuries

They'll make the playoffs Im sure...just won win the finals...not this year, or next. Too much $$$ given to the "big 3", they have ZERO bench, and no shooters/players. UNLESS His Holiness Lebron takes a paycut, or Bosh too, to enable the team to go out and bring in some dudes, they wont win dick.

Not true. Their bench is servicable and they are loaded with shooters, though Mike Miller is hurt and Eddie House is off with his shot right now.  They just haven't figured out how to put it all together yet.

The Celtics are playing without their starting center in Kendrick Perkins, without backup PF/C Jermaine O'Neal, and reserve Delonte West while having other players battle injuries. They still have beaten the Heat twice and are still one of the top teams in the league. The Heat are good but haven't proved anything yet, and the Lakers winning the West is not that assured as it has been in past years.

The Lakers seem to be on cruise control. That was evident watching Da Bulls beat them Friday night.
