Somehow after suffering through a ten game losing streak last season in which his contract expired, Lewis was offered a new contract and after saying he would not return unless his demands were met, they were not met and he still resigned with the team.

Make sense?

New England is no longer an elite team. They are losing games they would have won a few years ago.

Eli gave us all fits with his off the back foot wild throws but he's been so clutch at the end of games this year that I will take back what I said earlier. He's really playing much better (and having less drops by his WR's as well!).

Phillip Rivers has "2010 Eli Manningitis".

The Dolphins turned their outlook around in the Giants game. The hapless Colts are going to get Luck.

Has a team ever had an easier division to win than the NFC West? Look at the standings.

It's called good drafting. WR AJ Green and QB Andy Dalton replace WR Chad Johnson and QB Carson Palmer. Plus the Bungles have all those draft picks coming from The RaidersĀ  for Palmer.

Oh I completely agree, I've been a fan my entire life and knew coming into this season that we wouldn't be as bad as everybody was saying. Even coming into this week at 5-2 we were still receiving very little media coverage outside of the Cincinnati area, which is fine as people continue to underestimate the team.

Big time next week for the AFC East.

5-3 Patsies visit the 5-3 Jets and the 5-3 Bills go to Dallas.

Things are looking good for The Jets compared to where they were a month ago.

Hats off to Eli and The G-Men. They've got the Patsies number. Really did their cross town rivals Jets a big favor today. I LOVE IT!!!!

Eli is clutch. He scared me a couple times throwing into double coverage there near the end, but he got it done.
The Patriots pass rush was awful though as Eli had FOREVER to dance around in the pocket. And their corner's are terrible also. That rookie CB I don't think turned around once to see where the ball was when covering.

I don't get why they keep going to Ocho Cinco either. They should just release his ass now. If he hasn't learned the play book yet he never is. I didn't notice if Branch was just shutdown and couldn't get open, but Brady should have been going to him more. He's still good IMO.

The Pats miss the Randy Moss of old. Neither Ocho Cinco Nor Branch have been able to replace the production Moss provided a few years ago. New England is finding out rebuilding on the fly is a bitch.

Are the Bills toast or can they beat Dallas next week?

They can beat Dallas next week for sure, but I'd put my money on Dallas.

Give the Jets D some credit. They shutdown The Bills. The Bills average something like 30 points a game. This loss could very well send the Bills crashing back down to reality. Next week will show how much character they have and if they are for real. Good teams are able to come back and keep on chugging after a down week. Lots of good teams get blown out every now and then, and what makes them good is to be able to put it behind them.

Like I said though the story of the game is how good the Jets are playing. They dominated a division rival that they needed to beat this week. They got it done on both sides of the ball. They're back to playing to their strengths. They've got the running game going again. Sanchez is Sanchez. He's probably never going to be a top 10 QB, but the kid finds ways to win and that's all that counts.
He works on protecting the ball more and reducing his turnovers, he'll do just fine.

Oh and BTW I just saw this thread title at the Jets board I frequent:

The Jets won. While the Patriots, Bills, Raiders, Chiefs, Titans and Chargers ALL lost!!
That makes me happy tonight. Although my S&W fantasy team shit the bed today. I can live with it though as The Jets defense was part of the reason Sniper Niles beat me. :D

On a fantasy note, I played two guys (in two leagues) that had Julio Jones.....ON THE BENCH! I am still losing in both matchups by a shitload and will lose this week. Oh, the irony.....

Toast. Injuries expose their lack of depth due to bad drafting and not spending money. Add to it that the D was not very good to begin with.

Flacco fumbles. Steelers have a chance to take the lead.
