T.O. returns to football in Texas!!!

Yes indeed it's true

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/terrell-owens-signs-indoor-football-league-team-163141141.html

This is almost as pathetic as Flair and Hogan still thinking they can step into a wrestling ring,a real liofe version of (ex) pros vs Joes.

I think Owens can still perform. Teams just don't want all the drama associated with him.

I am a little surprised he went to Arena Football (or IFL) instead of going up north to Canada to play in the CFL, but if he is going to be a part owner in the team, this isn't too bad IMO, since no one wants to give him a shot in the NFL.

I think he can still perform at the "good" level, just no longer at the "great" level.  There seems to be a sliding scale of performance vs. drama, and his performance slipped enough to no longer be worth the drama.  You put up with the locker room bullshit for 80+ receptions and 1300+ yards, not so much for 55 receptions and 900 yards.

Talking of current and ex/Bungles, did I hear correctly yesterday in passing that Jerome Simpson got busted for selling dope or some such nonsense?

Exactly. Same reason Dennis Rodman couldn't stay on a team for more than a few weeks after the Bulls Dynasty was dismantled. Rodman always likes to talk about how Phil Jackson, all-time great coach, said he never had problems with Rodman, yet he neglects to ruminate on why Jackson tried him on the Lakers for a few weeks then let him go in the early 00s.  & in his early 40s, he could still play, but not well enough to put up with his bullshit anymore.

Yeah, he was arrested right before the season started. He, Bensen, and Pac-Man were all arrested for different reasons in the week or two before the season began. They found several pounds in Simpson's house.

Research please Jackson was not the coach on the Lakers 99 team that Rodman was on it was Rambis

As I understand it, TO actually bought an ownership interest in this AFL team and will be using himself to boost ticket sales.  Not all that stupid or desperate if true.
