We got this Stanley Cup winning goalie that's a real party animal.......

Maybe thats why they havent bothered trading for him?

The Hawks are looking for a 3-4 D-man and a #2 center...and possibly a goalie.

G: I've heard Khabibulin from Edmonton (I'll fucking throw something at the TV if that goes down)

D: Kubina out of Tampa is rumoured.

C: Derek Roy out of Buffalo is a distinct possibility.

The way the hawks have went into free-fall, I hope any moves they do make are small, as it looks like a large part of the supporting cast on that team needs to be blown up in the off-season. the chemistry has been off all year, and once Hossa, Toews, Kane and Sharp hit a wall, their defensive shortcomings were exposed even more than early in the year. early in the year they were winning the 6-4 games, not losing them.

I'd rather they miss the playoffs and rebuild it all next year (preferably with a new GM) than make two or three moves, sacrifice some young talent and get into the playoffs in 7th or 8th. They won't advance past the first round this time out..or even make their first round series close, like last year.

I'm hoping that this year will be different. Last year most of the trades happened 2-3 weeks before the deadline, while this year there has been Jack squat. I also agree that the Salary Cap needs to go away. If a team can't survive, then move Them or get rid of Them.

Will Vancouver package off Schneider?

JVR from Philly is supposedly available, but I think he is out with a concussion.

Nobody wants Carter. Homer and the true Hockey Fans of the Flyers knew that Carter is the Tin man of Hockey, no heart.

I doubt that Holland will pull the trigger on a Goalie. He even said this much a few weeks ago.

As far as Nash and the rumors with him going to the Rangers are Dubinsky, Chris Kreider and a 1rst rounder for him, but then I heard too that they'd want some sort of combination of Dubinsky, Stepan, McDonough and Ansimov.
No fraking way I'd want any part of that deal being a Rangers fan. The Rangers have finally built a team through drafting well and trading for good, young talent, so I wouldn't want them to trade away their future for a bloated contract of a guy on the downswing of his career like Nash. If they can get him on the cheap though as far as trade bait, he may be worth it for the playoff run. How many years has he left on his contract and how much money is owing?

I think The Jackets would love to get rid of Jeff Carter also.

I'm watching TSN right now and McKenzie is saying L.A. is the best option for Nash. Who knows? Crawford is saying The Rangers.

He has 6 more years at 7.8mm/year. No thanks.

Oh I agree, not saying I want him. I did just find out in Rangers chat I was just in that Nash is only 27. I thought he was like 33-34.

And Ted, yeah I really don't think The Rangers are at the top of the list for him and you're right he could very well end up in Van. What have you heard with who The Canucks would be willing to give up to get him?

I can see The Rangers trading Dubinsky for someone (not sure who) if they do make a trade. Also Marc Staal could be used as trade bait due to the fact that The Rangers did just fine without him for half the season. Plus he's only got 1 assist and is -4 in 19 games since returning at The Winter Classic. Can't find anything on his extended stats like hits and blocked shots at this moment though.

Nash came in as a 18 yr. old. I heard that Vancouver might be willing to part with Kesler as the centerpiece, since Hodgson has shown that He might be finally ready for the NHL. Vancouver also has Schneider, Raymond and a few other pieces that could go back to Columbus. I wouldn't trade Staal if I was Slats. You have to remember that He's coming off of a serious concussion and it takes a little while to recover from it. I would love Staal on the Flyers.

How about a deal that the main pieces center around Partick Kane and Ryan Miller? The Hawks have a ton of scoring and could really use a Goalie since it appears that Miller is trying to play His way out of Buffalo.

The main component the Rangers are missing is a wing that can score on the PP.

However, I would not make a trade and mortgage the future. If they don't win the cup this year, fine. They still have Kreider and Bourque in the minors. They are loaded in the farm system for the time I can remember. Probably since they brought up Leetch and Erixson lol.

This year has been icing on the cake. I don't think any Ranger fan saw this type of year coming. I didn't. They should let this play out with the talent they have.

Well-stated.

Isn't Kreider still @ Boston College?

Nucks not on Rick Nash's 'approved list', says Columbus writer Aaron Portzline. The five are: Leafs, Bruins, NYR, Sharks, Kings.

Glad to see the Flyers not on His list. Let Someone else overpay for Him.

My guess is NYR (they always overspend for big FA's or the KINGS, cuz i heard their package was Bernier and Jack Johnson)

I would like him on the Leafs, being a hometown boy, but we may have to give up too much.

The Jackets GM might hold on to him, and trade him in the offseason.
