Honestly I am glad the Rangers pretty much stayed put. I'd rather they take their chances with what they have. Play heart attack 1-0, 2-1 hockey. They've done it all year, they should be used to it.

Pavel Brendl

Hack-I agree on your points.

FF-Brendl: you are correct. That was the most hyped one.

Don't forget about Hugh Jessiman, Dan Blackburn and Daniel Goneau.

Blackburn suffered a career ending injury, that shouldn't count. He probably would've been a decent NHL Goalie. Jessiman finally made His NHL debut late last season.

I remember my dad making such a big deal about Hugh Jessiman lol.

Weren't Brendl and Lundmark drafted the same year, in the first round?

That double-whiff is almost as good as the Hawks swing where they took Pavel Vorobiev and Mikhail Yakobov back-to-back in the first round early in the 2000's. :(

1999. That was an awful draft. Patrick Stefan went #1 to Atlanta and the whole draft, minus the Sedin twins and Henrik Zetterberg, is non-descript.

G: I've heard Khabibulin from Edmonton (I'll fucking throw something at the TV if that goes down)

D: Kubina out of Tampa is rumoured.

C: Derek Roy out of Buffalo is a distinct possibility.

The way the hawks have went into free-fall, I hope any moves they do make are small, as it looks like a large part of the supporting cast on that team needs to be blown up in the off-season. the chemistry has been off all year, and once Hossa, Toews, Kane and Sharp hit a wall, their defensive shortcomings were exposed even more than early in the year. early in the year they were winning the 6-4 games, not losing them.

I'd rather they miss the playoffs and rebuild it all next year (preferably with a new GM) than make two or three moves, sacrifice some young talent and get into the playoffs in 7th or 8th. They won't advance past the first round this time out..or even make their first round series close, like last year.

The streaky Hawks have now won 4 in a row!!

So much for the winning streak. The Hawks blew it last night in the 3rd period. With Toews hurt, another long win less streak might commence.

The problem the Hawks have is that they can afford to spin their wheels for a few weeks. They aren't in imminent danger of missing the playoffs whre they sit (6th), but they have no shot at catching anyone above them.

The longer Toews is out, the more they will lose. No team misses one guy as much as the Hawks miss Toews.

I don't think Stan Bowman has the balls to make a "big" deal. Dumbass will probably just bring Chris Campoli back. **vomits**

Oduya might not be great but he's better than that goon Scott.

Hawks have won three in a row. Emery got a ton of help from the goal post though today against Detroit.

Scott was mis-used when they had him on D. His minutes and job description were much better suited for a 4th-line winger.

Emery is the defacto #1 guy now, and he deserves it, he's played well and is making the saves he needs to make.

Whatever kind of run they go on will mean nothing if Jonathan Toews is out for the season...and it doesn't look like he'll be back anytime soon. :(

Agree with everything you typed especially your point about Toews.

Oduya scored the game winner tonight. I fucking hate The Vancouver Canucks. Toews still out of action though.

It deflected in off of Andrew Shaw, but yeah, I hate those backstabbing Canuck twatsniffers as well. Duncan Keith will sit for three or so games because of his hit on Danielle Sedin, and I have no problem with that at all. Little queer started it going for Keith's head in the corner.

Keith can use the rest, plus fuck Danielle.

5 game suspension for Duncan Keith.

The only thing I'm sad about is that it wasn't Alex Burrows that he elbowed. Other than that, take 5 games off, rest up for the playoffs, and hope that Danielle Sedin is out for a while.

He probably will be as the Canucks have now confirmed that Sedin suffered a concussion.

Hawks beat Nashville 5-4 to clinch a playoff spot. Hawks were winning 4-0 then Nashville scored 4 straight goals to tie the game. Brent Seabrook scored the game winner for the Hawks. Still no Toews. There have been rumors he might play Thursday night.
