 I don't get this at all as I thought Stephen McGee was now ready to become the backup in Dallas. But I guess Jerry Jones felt that they needed a veteran guy to be the # 2 QB. CBS Sports had Orton rated at the 69th best Free Agent available and I think that's appropriate since I feel that this signing really sucks.

EDIT: Jesus H. Christ - I just read that Orton was signed to a 3 year deal !!!!!!!  One year was bad enough but now we got him for 3 years. :X
meh, Orton is serviceable as a back-up. I thought they did ok on that deal.

You want to talk bad deals? THIS is a bad deal:

The Jaguars and Laurent Robinson agreed to a five-year, $32.5 million contract Wednesday evening, giving the team a much-needed splash in free agency. The deal includes $14 million guaranteed.

The Cowboys picked up Robinson of the Chargers scrap heap last year because they needed a third receiver. He put up decent numbers because most defenses the Boys played were keying on Dez, Austin, and Witten. He certainly isn't worth #1 reciever money. Jacksonville gave him more guaranteed money than Philly gave Jackson.

Orton is a very good backup QB. Anybody who saw last year how in-demand he was should see that.
Robinson could be a disaster because Gabbert is terrible. However, I just read that the Jags signed Henne. He'll win the job outright.

No problem Anus,  I will thanks. I figured you'd say something like this, YOU got mad about it, no other way to spin it.

Can't argue with that logic.

Where are you hearing this? Washington mortgaged heir future to move up to draft a QB.

Peyton said he would not consider Washington or any other team in his brother's division.

Peyton's top four teams are Tennessee, Denver, Arizona, and Miami (in that order). I haven't even heard Washington mentioned in weeks.

Alvin Harper II. This guy is a total enigma, which makes me wonder why people get on Brandon Marshall so harshly when he is almost the same exact guy. And I don't think he's nearly as talented as Marshall. Just my opinion.......

Except Jackson doesn't punch women in the face when he goes to the bar.

I called you out on your lack of logic again and you still can't see that.  Whoa, there's Ultimate Sin doing the same, again.

The only spin on this is that you're basically on mwtapes rere level and I keep forgetting that whenever a debate comes up with you.  And no matter what, no one can ever dumb it down enough for you to get it.

Replacing Pro Bowler Nicks with Pro Bowler Grubbs certainly helps ease the sting of losing Carl!  The Saints saved quite a bit by going this route and won't miss a step with Grubbs in Carl's spot.

Bills sign Mario Williams. Have a press conference at 1:30 to announce it. Can't wait to see how much they overpaid to get him.

I'm sure they did overpay for him. The Bills are in the position where they HAVE to overpay to get someone like Williams to come to Buffalo. The only way to change the culture is to get high profile big names to sign there and hope others (Supposedly want Manningham) will follow suit and make them relevant again.

Six year deal, numbers aren't out yet, but Jay Glazer is reporting that $50M of that is guaranteed.

Still, if he can stay healthy...that'll be a huge boost to that defense.

from ESPN

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Free agent pass rusher Mario Williams has agreed to a six-year deal with the Buffalo Bills worth up to $100 million, with $50 million guaranteed, his agent, Ben Droga told The Associated Press.

The $50 million guarantee is the richest for a defensive player in NFL history.

The Bills have called a 1:45 p.m. ET news conference to introduce the newest member of their defense, who joins a fearsome defensive line that also includes 2011 first-round pick Marcell Dareus and Pro Bowler Kyle Williams.

Bills players took to Twitter to welcome Mario Williams to the team and celebrate the big addition.

Linebacker Nick Barnett wrote: "Welcome Mario!!! Bills d is not playing games homie!!!"

Receiver Stevie Johnson, who signed an extension earlier this offseason to stay in Buffalo, also hailed the move.

"I Love it! S/O to Them Buffalo Guys wearing The Suits for Making Things Happen this OffSeason! Let's Continue to Build! Welcome #SuperMario!," he wrote.

The Bills flew Williams into town by private jet from his home in North Carolina shortly after the free-agency period opened at 4 p.m. ET Tuesday. Williams had informed the Bills on Tuesday night that he planned to visit other teams, two sources told ESPN.com's John Clayton.

After quarterback Peyton Manning, Mario Williams is regarded as one of the top free agents available. And that means the Bills would have to pay a hefty price if they intend to land the player selected first overall in the 2006 draft by Houston.

The Bills have identified improving their pass rush as a top offseason priority after managing just 29 sacks -- including 10 in one game -- last season.

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 285 pounds, Mario Williams is a two-time Pro Bowl starter, who had a Texans' franchise-best 53 career sacks, including a team single-season best 14 in 2007. Williams was limited to playing just five games last season as a result of a torn chest muscle. He also missed three games in 2010 after having surgery to repair a sports hernia.

The Bills are coming off a 6-10 season, and have missed the playoffs for 12 straight years -- the NFL's longest active drought.

Dallas signed safety Brodney Pool to a 1-year deal. By adding Pool and Carr in the last 24 hours I have to think that now the Cowboys might not be targeting CB Dre Kirkpatrick at # 14 in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Blah blah blah, the best part of all of this? Is that you got upset over a fucking rumor....a rumor they were talking about on the radio, that I relayed here, yet you question my intelligence, lol. This is funnier than that time you claimed Warrior was Vince's BFF & that he was going into the hof, remember that? I do, god that was funny.

But whatever you say anus, youve won.
