The Angels need Josh Hamilton to fall off the wagon.

I miss the good old days when you could bank on the Rangers turning to shit in July and August in the Texas heat.   Kinda hoping that might still be the case.

Getting killed by Detroit tonight. Pitching injuries (and Hamilton's slump) are catching up with us.

I will stand corrected that the wildcard may come from the West after all.  Still hoping Buddy's Rangers start losing at a mortal clip, but thrilled at how the Angels have played since April 28.

And I will say this again, 20 year old Mike Trout is not just a phenom, he is the best all around player in MLB based on performance thus far.

Rangers 54-35
Angels 49-41
Athletics 46-43
Mariners 38-53

Rangers look to have it wrapped up. Angels probably going to be one of the Wild Cards.

The A's crawled back into the wildcard race. Only a half game back. They got tons of young pitchers they can trade for bats.

Benlen was right about Oakland. They just swept the Yankees. Baseball is a funny game. You just never know sometimes.

Not sure I mentioned this before now, but Jered Weaver is a fucking stud, 20 year old Mike Trout is the best player in all of MLB and Albert Pujols is really starting to earn his money.    I may feel different tomorrow, but not by much.

Chris Rose on MLB Network had the line of the night last night when Josh Hamilton was at the plate for the 3rd time, when he said "and here is an automatic out for the Angels, Josh Hamilton at the plate" and right when the other guy started to say something to counter Rose, Hamilton hit a weak grounder to Second base
