It is common now for the ace closers on the team to have a signature song when they come into the game.

List some closers and their theme songs.

They were trying to figure out who was the first closer to do it.  I was getting upset, because my guess, not that it is right, would be Kent Tekulve.  He used to come into the game while "Rubberband Man" was played.  Teke is now an analyst for the Pirates and it would have been a great question to ask him.

I think its stupid really.

Didn't Hoffman come out to "Hell Bells"?

Bob Walk said the same thing of how ridiculous it is.

Are there any others?

I hated Kent Tekulve when I was a kid. When he closed out the games during the 1979 World Series against the Baltimore Orioles, he was lights out. When he came into the game, I knew my O's didn't have a chance.

Dodger Stadium used to go nuts when "Welcome to the Jungle" would start playing a few moments before Eric Gagne would walk out onto the field from the bullpen.  Until the music started, you didn't know he was coming into the game if you were in the stadium.

He may have.  I remember being at Jack Murphy Stadium in 1998 and he came out to Metallica at the time, and I also remember Hells Bells by AC/DC as well.  They may have decided to not pay for the rights again  lol

They don't pay rights to play music in an arena, do they? It's like playing music in a bar or nightclub or dance, etc.

All venues must pay a licensing fee to BMI and/or ASCAP to play music. This also includes bars and clubs.
