I thought this was the perfect opportunity to turn their division rivals' misfortune into Pirate fortune, but so far that hasn't happened.Give it time.  It will happen with Cinci.

I really hope that Washington and Pittsburgh make the playoffs.

I think the Nats are almost a lock now.

Pirates traded RHP Brad Lincoln to Toronto for OF Travis Snider. Both players were selected in the 1st round of the MLB amateur draft in 2006 - Lincoln was picked # 4 by Pittsburgh and Snider was picked # 14 by Toronto.

took  2 of 3 from the Cubs at Wrigley and AJ Burnett was 1 hit away from a no no.  McCutcheon and Alvarez have been homerless for a week or more that could be a concern but garrett Jones and Neil Walker making up for them.  Bullpen starting to look shakey.

As far as the division goes, I think Pittsburgh has no shot, but they may get a WC. I just hope they win at least 82 games

I can't believe Burnett is 13-3. Somebody test him.

Fuck that, give whatever he is using to other pitchers lol

Burnett seriously needs to be discussed for NL Cy Young at the end of the year, and also NL Comeback Player, or whatever it's called now

Comeback player of the year should go to Posey.

And stupid me had him on my S&W Fantasy Baseball team, and dropped him very early this season.

14-3 now and nearly had his second straight complete game (went 8 2/3rd today). AJ is a beast and by far the #1 reason the Pirates are still in contention.

I'm actually starting to think they may get the 2nd wildcard now.

If they don't get the division, I want the wildcard game to be Pirates vs Braves, in Atlanta. The dark times of Pirate fandom began there, it would be almost movie-like for it to end there .
