I know he just threw a TD, but Peyton Manning has NOTHING on his throws anymore, they are floaters...his arm is going to be jello by the end of the season..

This. Everyone was so concerned about his neck healing, there's been very little mention of the reports that the nerve damage from his neck had taken its toll on his throwing arm. I remember when he was taking throws last year when there was talk of him possibly coming back to the Colts, reports were he still had the accuracy but he had no zip left. That seems to still be the case.

The Niners SUCKED today. I don't think they got within five yards of Ponder with their pass rush. Pathetic.

I was at the game. Lots of Niner fans there, but they had precious little to cheer for. :(

Oh well, that loss won't make or break the Niners year. They better fix their pass rush, though!

The Vikings trounced the 49ers. So much for San Fran being the best team in the NFL. Both teams now 2-1.

Dumb ass Alex Smith strikes again.Manningham and Moss are useless on the team with him at QB.

Moss missed two easy ones today. that said, Smith wasn't the real problem today. It was the ineffectual Pass rush. They made Ponder look like Brady/Manning/*insert good QB here*.

I loved that Cam Newton commented how the Giants didn't really beat them, that they beat themselves.

No. You got spanked because their defense read everything you were doing, pretty much the entire game and picked you off 3 times. You had no run game because their defense man-handled your O-line.

And best of all, their offense spanked your team's lackluster defense.

He came across as a total tool with those comments.

It is that way when the Giants beat teams San Fran, Green Bay said the same thing last yr playoffs

Smith missed Moss twice, once in the endzone. Smith checks down too soon. True the defense had problems with Ponder He kept scrambling to extend plays. When The Niners start a drive on the Viking 11 yd line you gotta come away with more than a FG.

I've seen some shitty officiating this season so far, but watching the Chiefs NO game one upped them all. Watching NO's D get lit up by Jamal Charles though was pretty amusing.

Is it just me or do others have trouble hearing and understanding the NBC announcers? They have the crowd noise mic'd up too much.

These replacement officials are terrible.  It's like they are afraid to make calls.  There was a stat that penalties aren't up that much this year, but I bet if you factor in what should be called, and what players are doing and getting away with, then the numbers would be through the roof.
