Of the first year nominees, I'd vote for

Larry Allen
Jonathan Ogden
Warren Sapp
Michael Strahan

All four of those guys scream Hall of Fame.

I'm on the fence about John Lynch.

I would vote for Everson Walls just for his name.  :D

Always thought of that was one of the best sports names.

Will Shields should be a no brainer, but Offensive Guards aren't a priority position in these votes.

Nah, Simms don't have the numbers to get in. I always though he was a better QB than given credit for, but he played in Ron Erhardt's button down run first offense with medicore WRs most of his career. Plus, he played on some really shitty team the 1st half of his career and had battles with the coaching staff (especially Parcells early on) to even get on the field.

Guessing Steve Sabol makes it out of the "contributors" category.

The only 1st yr nominee I'm digging here, is Morten Andersen but he's not a shot in Hades of making it.

I'm digging Shields, Bill Parcells, Jimmy Johnson, Schotty and Tim Brown.

It was a tragedy that Steve Sabol passed but I see them putting him on because of this.
