Kyrie is gonna be a top 5 guard in three to five years. Heat will likely repeat. Ray Allen looked pretty good last night.

Speaking of the Timberwolves...

http://www.thepostgame.com/blog/dish/201210/are-minnesota-timberwolves-too-white

You knew there would be some idiot black "civil rights" leaders that were going to complain and cry racism over this, even though you just know that if they had their way, not just the whole team, but the whole damn league would be black. The best part is the claim that the team isn't diverse, even though five out of the 10 non-black players were born outside the U.S.

Just for this stupidity I hope that the T-Wolves go a long way this year.

It's a stupid thing to complain about, but it's not a stupid discussion point. If the league is whatever percent black and this team is whatever percent white, it's completely legitimate to say "hmm, that's interesting". Is it a coincidence or is it by design? I don't think it matters. They haven't been winning and the owners need to make money. Bill Watts pushed black wrestlers because he thought it would attract folks and if the Timberwolves want to push white players to attract folks, more power to them. They say it's not what they are doing and no one can really say what their intentions are. I think they have every right to do so and Kevin Love is an elite straight up baller that I would have on my team over most power forwards. He's a lot more skilled than Blake Griffin, but I believe in the long term, Blake's entertainment value and Kevin's lack of being a difference maker in the win-loss column would give Blake the edge to me.

I'll reiterate that I have no problem with the Wolves and believe they have every right to what they want to do with their roster. However, I'm on the record that after what I've been reading on this site about people like me, it should come as no surprise that some of us out there believe that a team may want to boost the 'human' population of their roster so that they market their team more effectively.

BTW - DJP, I'm not disputing your claims of anyone being an idiot or debating your position on the subject. I fully understand where you are coming from.

I know you're not and I totally agree with your Bill Watts analogy. It's still a business and if they haven't been winning or making money, they need to try something different.

The thing that gets me is you have so-called "civil rights" leaders complaining about a "lack of diversity" because there is finally a team that is mostly non-black in a league that is dominated by blacks, even when the fact is the team itself is extremely diverse because several backgrounds are represented. It's actually kinda refreshing to have something different from the norm. It just goes to show you how ignorant and narrow minded these fools are because they either don't realize or refuse to acknowledge that "civil rights" extends to all people, not just their own kind. To me this is a picture perfect example of "Afroentrism" (as in the black man's belief that everything everybody does needs to revolve around satisfying him) and reverse racism.

The over under on the Warriors is 34 and a half.
I am betting over.

The Lakers are now 0-2. The Bulls won an ugly game over Sacramento. Tonight's Brooklyn Nets vs New York Knicks game has been canceled due to Hurricane Sandy. It was to be Brooklyn's home debut.

Amare is out 6 to 8 weeks with a knee injury. What the chatter out east about this?
nobody cares about amare it's melo's team now.

Melo's team will be lucky to win 45 games.

I was wrong about the Knicks!!

You're not alone. Nobody saw Melo buying into Woodson's philosophy, and he has so far. Also, the Knicks are shooting lights out from 3pt range. Can't wait for Shumpert and Amare to get back though, because their bench is deep but very old. Having Amare play pick and roll on the 2nd unit with Felton should provide a good scoring threat with Melo off the court.

Full fledged panic in Los Angeles with local talk show guys speculating that the Lakers won't make the playoffs without playing .700 ball the rest of the way.  Clippers, on the other hand, look like the real deal.

The Bulls beat the Nets in triple OT to take a 3-1 lead in the series. Derrick Rose has still not played a game all season even though he has been medically cleared.

Funny that the LA media didn't complain about Kobe's ego when they were winning.

Hawks tie up the Pacers with a 102-91 win.  They postpone the inevitable by another game.  Chronic malcontent Josh Smith had a career playoff high.

Boston beats New York and extends the series to a 6th game. Pacers trounced The Hawks. Pacers up 3 games to 2. Houston beating OKC by 14 in the 3rd quarter. OKC Point Guard Russell Westbrook is out for the playoffs.

The Miami Heat have to be laughing right now.
