Niners win 13-6. It could have been a 15-6 Niners win but Jim Harbaugh declined a safety instead opting to take the ball over on downs at the Seattle 29.

Finally got a lucky bounce from this stuff so I ain't complaining. "Sweet" Willie McTaggert (West Kentucky HC) cost me last week with that stuff.

NFL.com is showing just now that Vick is starting Sunday and Morningweg(sp?) is still going to be calling the offensive plays.

I could only imagine how many millions of dollars in Vegas shifted back and forth while they figured that out (never mind it costing those of us that picked SF to cover our pool points :()

I don't get the Niners. the run game was great, yet they continue to try and pass the ball. Alex Smith was born to hand off the ball...he's regressed to two seasons ago with his passing. Just brutal.

I didn't see the game so if I have the circumstance wrong somewhere forgive me - but taking the safety puts you up by 9 with a minute to go.

Or you stay up by 7 and still have the ball with a minute left.

Wouldn't you take the safety and go up by 9?

Seattle gets the ball back but even if they do the "miracle" onside kick - touchdown - 2 point conversion the clock runs out on them and you have won.

Right?

Pretty much. Harbaugh thinking Seattle would even get a touchdown at that point was bizarre as Wilson's receiving corps couldn't catch a cold and they didn't have time to give it to Lynch to run the whole 100 yards himself. Wasn't gonna happen.

So they opt to stay up by just 7 and ... did they have the ball at least (running out the clock?)

Spread on the game went from -7 to -9 depending on where you and when you wagered.
