Both Sanchez and Tebow could be gone.   (This would be to save Ryan's job)  They want to unload Sanchez via trade....who would be dumb enough to trade for him?

Michael Vick would be interested in playing for the J-E-T-S.

That team looks like it is going off of the tracks.

I'm sure they will bring in Vick, because they keep bringing in guys I hate (Holmes, Cromartie, Burress, Tebow). Tebow can be easily traded, but if they trade Sanchez, it's a 17 million cap hit for next season, which is huge. Better to sit him on the bench and save the 8.5 million in cap space.

Actually I think it will be very difficult to move either guy. Sanchex because of his contract. Tebow because of his "average" ability that comes with "a ton of drama" (admittedly not his fault)

Tebow to Jax makes some sense but that's all I come up with.

I don't see anyone trading for either guy, either.

If anyone is remotely interested in bringing in Tebow, it'd be Jax.  And why give up anything for him when it's pretty obvious that if there are no trade inquiries, he'll get outright released.  So I would look for Jax or anyone else to just await the inevitable.

As for Sanchez, with the cap thing being as it is, it's possible that they do the same with him, sure it'll cost them $17M to do it, but it's either pay him that money now and not get anything in return, or release him, pay him and move on with someone else.

Tebow cannot be on that team next year.  They can consider paying him to sit at home or hiring a hitman to kill him, but they can't have him back.  Not his fault at all, but they can't have another year like what Ryan did this year.

He won't be.  It's being reported everywhere that he'll ask for a trade and/or release.

The Jets are in some personnel and financial dram/trauma right now.  Whomever got them into that mess should be canned.   There was some serious stupid moves going on with this team.  Who in the hell evaluated Sanchez to grant him that type of contract?

I believe a team, Jets or not, that is willing to run an unconventional offense can win with Tebow. For all the hype and controversy, things worked out pretty well for the Broncos last year. However, that team has to commit fully as the Broncos did. Ryan's theory of parachuting Tim Tebow in for a half dozen odd plays isn't the way to go. He needs to play all game. As it happens, I think the Jets need to bring the wrecking ball to the team as it's currently constituted, new GM, new head coach, new assistants, new quarterback, new players up and down. This isn't a patch up job. It's a rebuilding job. Bringing back Rex Ryan and company would be as big a mistake as the Eagles trying to bring back Andy Reid and Michael Vick, among others, in 2013.

They should release Tebow, Sanchez, and Ryan. They are gonna suck anyway so why not suck all the way to the number one pick?

This needs to be the Jags. What do they have to lose? People will pay to watch Tebow play.

The Jets need first to fire their GM then release both Tebow and Sanchez. Mike Tannenbaum has made some questionable to say the least moves as GM.

This is where I am uncertain.   How much of a say did or does Ryan have on personnel matters.

From what I have read through the years, each team is different.  Some head coaches are presumed "perfect" coaches for a team, because they will utilize any player given to them and do not get too involved in the personnel matters in regards to needs and money.  Then, you can go the complete opposite direction where a guy like Holmgren wanted everything, the GM spot, the head coach spot, etc.  Then there is the most popular approach in which teams will encourage the GM to work with the head coach and his staff to build a team based on quality athletes and also the needs of the team.

Ryan is still considered somewhat new head coach.  I do not know how much rub he had on getting his "wants" met.  The GM may have been second-guessing Sanchez and went out and got Tebow as a security blanket for the QB position, plus he would be a big pop with the fans.  I just keep wondering why they gave Sanchez that big deal?

The jury is out for me on Ryan, because he could be just as frustrated as others with the personnel he has to utilize for his team.  If he did not have any strong support on these matters, you really cannot blame him.

Even though I'm a Pats fan, I kinda like Rex and hope he stays in NY.  As for Tebow, I've been pretty consistent in my opinion of him.  Agree, Jacksonville is the only team he could help and he might last a few years if he goes there.  If not, he'll be cast aside in the next year or so by all the NFL.
