Have to agree with BGF. Earl Weaver. In a game against the Blue Jays, he was being booed by Jays' fans. He stood on the dugout steps & yelled "SHADDUP". And they did.

Part of me will always love Jim Mora for taking the Saints to the playoffs. Part will always love Jim Haslett for leading them to the first playoff win. Part of me will always love Sean Payton for making hell freeze over by leading them to a Superbowl Title. I will always love John Madden because, with all due respect to Al Davis, John personified what made the Raiders great. Jim Boeheim is my favorite College Basketball Coach. Jeff Bower is my favorite College Football Coach. Under his watch Southern Miss had 14 straight winning seasons. He ran a clean program that graduated a high percentage of his players. I am still pissed he was forced out. All USM is going to be is a stop gap job where if a Coach has a good year he will bail for greener pastures. I want to like Mike Keenan for leading the Rangers to the Cup but he is a fucking douchebag.

great call on Rey Meyer Rich. He was as down to earth as you could get. I ran into him once at a White Sox game and even though people surrounding him were fawning over his DePaul accolades, he always wanted to talk about the baseball game going on. He never really seemed to want to take credit for DePaul's success, always putting it on the players, something that was rare at the time. MLB: Torre, Scioscia, Baker NHL: Bowman NBA: Jackson, Brown NFL: Ditka(Chicago days only), Walsh, Parcell(NY Giants)
