Isn't this just all about MONEY?

Is State Farm OUTRAGED? Or do they just think being a sponsor of the Clippers is bad for business?

Is the NBA OUTRAGED? Or do they have to do something [suspension, whatever] because if they don't, that is bad for business also?

Everything is always about money.

The fine is funny considering how much Sterling will make when he sells the team.  I like that it has to go to anti-discrimination organizations, most of whom promote discrimination, rather than just giving it to a homeless organization or someone who could actually use it.  PC bullshit, but whatever, Sterling is an asshole of the highest proportions and I look forward to him choking down the fake apology that an NBA lawyer writes for him.  I also look forward to the race/sex/drugs/bestiality scandal that Silver will one day be involved in, because it eventually hits everyone.

I don't see anything that harms Sterling other than his comments. That will hurt his reputation, but he's still a freakin billionaire. So, who really cares?

As rossi said... Yeah, he can't come to the games and he got a fine, but when Sterling sells the team, he is going to make a massive profit.

I heard yesterday on PTI or Around the Horn that Sterling bought the Clippers in 1981 for $ 12.5 million and will likely get around $ 500 million when he sells the team.

Right now I'm most concerned that almost no one on my Facebook wall knows the difference between "banned" and "band".  WTF?  I fully support a mass extinction based on intellect.

The purchase price Sterling paid  is correct, but Forbes just this morning valued the Clippers at just under 1 billion dollars, an increase of over 150 million since the Sterling story broke last week.  Go figure.

ESPN said it was worth $535 million. Which figure is right? Either way Sterling made one hell of a return on his investment.

Maybe Silver said 'band for life' (now Sterling has to go join a band) and people took it as 'banned for life'.

What band is Sterling joining anyway?

Did you also hear Wilbon say "The NBA is second only to the church in importance to the black community" or almost something EXACTLY like that? I was like "Wow.." when he said that..
Here is the exact quote, found it:
Basketball as an institution is 2nd only to the church in the black community...he's got to go." - Michael Wilbon

I used to really like Wilbon and hated it there was a guest host on PTI when he was not there. But over the last year or so he has gotten really tiresome with some of the things he continually tries to shove down the viewers throats.
