Yeah Rangers! Knocked off Cindy's Penguins!!!

No love lost between MTL-OTT. OTT stays alive and that was not the Carey Price that is a Vezina finalist.

MARK IT DOWN!!!
Oh I want to believe you but tonight has got me a little nervous.  In my experience, and I could be wrong but pretty sure you have to score to win games.  Can't see Price giving up 5 goals on Sunday but if the Habs can't score then he won't have to give up more than a couple to lose.   NY won't be easy for the Habs if it comes to that as well.

Pittsburgh is out simply because they couldn't score.  Shouldn't be any crapping all over Fleury this off season, he didn't lose it for them, but it's nice to see them gone.

Hagelin comes through.

Obscure reference of the night: Kevin Hayes being compared to my favorite cokehead hockey player of all-time, Don Murdoch.

There's nothing more fierce than a team facing elimination, they always say....so look for Ottawa to cause MTL fits in game 6.

Now, are my Wings gonna bounce back in Tampa? Babcock doesn't have last change on the road, and I'm not sure how healthy Glendening will be. We'll see.

Last piece of the first round puzzle will be game 7 between TB-Det. This series is too back and forth to make any predictions, but you gotta figure TB with home ice should win. Winner to face MTL.

Kronwall suspended for Game 7 vs Tampa Bay.

from tsn.ca:

Detroit Red Wings defenceman Niklas Kronwall has been suspended one game for his hit on Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov and will sit out Game 7 of the first round Eastern Conference series.

Kronwall knocked Kucherov's helmet off near the end of the second period with a high hit, but the Tampa Bay forward stayed in the game.

Kronwall has never been suspended during his NHL career but incurred one major penalty and a game misconduct for interference in 2009.

With the series tied 3-3, Game 7 is scheduled for Wednesday night in Tampa Bay.

The New York Rangers will reportedly be without forward Mats Zuccarello for their entire playoff series against the Washington Capitals.

Zuccarello will not play in the second round due to a suspected concussion, Larry Brooks of the New York Post reports.

The Rangers winger left Game 5 against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday after being struck in the head by a shot off the stick of teammate Ryan McDonagh.

Zuccarello was ruled out indefinitely on Monday.

His availability beyond the second round is also in doubt, according to the report.

Zuccarello registered two assists in New York's five-game series win over the Penguins.

He must be auditioning for the Bruins once his current contract runs out.

Fuck that - we've already got Marchand.

If you brought in Prust instead, you'd save on the cap space that Marchand's nose takes up.

Maybe - but Marchand ( and his nose ) are good for 20-25 goals a season which is a lot more than Prust gives you.

Frustrated with the Rangers lack of offensive output. We miss Zucc alot, but that's not an excuse.  Nash and St Louis on the first line and can't put the puck in the net to save their lives. That's what a 1st line is supposed to do!

I was way off picking MTL- seems that TB has got their number in this series, could be over tonight. I don't think DET would have matched up as well with the Habs.
