should've trade up to get that pick. Nashville got the steal of the decade when Jones slid to 4th.

Might have been good enough to keep us from getting McDavid, the fucking guy is a magician, plus he's getting Yakupov going.

You're not gonna be one of those guys sucking McDavid's cock every time he touches the puck, are you? There's already too many of them on every TSN and Sportsnet hockey show.

Couldn't you take up for Taylor Hall and his he-only-looks-gay lips instead? Dude needs some love.

As bad as they have been ( even Bob McKenzie looks like he wants to give him a big hug ) can you imagine the level of worship we would be seeing if he ended up getting drafted by Toronto ????

I don't think anyone wants to think of how bad that would have been.

I love to think about it! :)

He belongs here at home, where he wanted to be drafted.

Even you would have been sick of the constant cumshots from all the TSN and Sportsnet hockey guys.

Seriously they say McDavid so often I suspect each has an electrode hooked to their junk to simulate the sensation of oral whenever they or anyone else says his name.

When you've spent 9 years watching what is basically an AHL team, then yes I'm going to "suck McDavid's cock" when he makes an entire franchise watchable again.  At least he's not forcefully making people suck his cock, or beat up cab drivers, like some teams superstars.

Teams stumbling out of the gate have not approached the Toronto Maple Leafs in search of a new coach.

This according to Damien Cox of Sportsnet, who reports the club has not been asked for permission to speak with ex-head coach Randy Carlyle.

The suggestion that Carlyle might be in demand isn't a crazy one, as San Jose requested permission to speak with him prior to naming Peter DeBoer their new bench boss.

At present, Todd Richards in Columbus and Bruce Boudreau in Anaheim are taking heat for poor starts, while Don Sweeney claims Claude Julien is safe in Boston, for the time being at least.

Carlyle, who won a Stanley Cup with Anaheim back in 2007, coached Toronto to a record of 91-78-19 over four seasons.

Former NHL forward Patrick O'Sullivan has opened up about his abusive childhood in a new memoir.

The 2003 second-round pick of the Minnesota Wild revealed the physical and emotional damage done by his father in "Breaking Away: A Harrowing True Story of Resilience, Courage and Triumph."

"There (are) a lot of people (who) don’t even know it goes on, it’s a very private thing, ‘it’s not my business anyways,'" O'Sullivan told The Canadian Press.

"A lot of people don’t want to know because it puts them in a tough spot. They think they saw something, they’re not sure, they don’t want to know anymore. That’s got to change."

In the book, O'Sullivan reportedly described being fed dinners of Spam and baked beans by his father, who forced his son to eat them even after O'Sullivan vomited them up.

He also documents being locked outside overnight and being forced to run behind his father's van after games.

"When I came off the ice after practice or a game, I never knew exactly what was next, but I knew it was going to be bad," the 30-year-old O'Sullivan wrote.

O'Sullivan played parts of six seasons in the NHL, with the Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, the Wild, and the then-Phoenix Coyotes, scoring 58 goals and notching 161 points in 334 career games.

O'Sullivan, who last played for Helsinki in Finland in 2012-13, said he's still bothered by his past.

"If you push a kid really hard, and then they decide to stop playing, I think a lot of people think it’s over then, but it’s a life-long thing, and it’s day to day," he said.

"For me, each day, things happen and now I’m at the point where I can recognize the triggers. Kids that are abused, it doesn’t go away when they become adults."

O'Sullivan said he's starting to turn a corner.

"I’m just starting to feel like I’m getting my life back from the game of hockey.

"Taking control of my own happiness, that’s the biggest thing. Hockey doesn’t define me, and I didn’t realize that for most of my life because it was all I knew. It’s kind of like a new beginning for me and what I want to do next."

The Boston Bruins have stumbled to a 2-3-0 start after missing the playoffs last season, giving up the second-most goals against (21) in the NHL to date.

Still, general manager Don Sweeney denies there's any talk of replacing head coach Claude Julien at this point.

During the NESN broadcast of Saturday's win in Arizona, rinkside reporter Nikki Reyes relayed Sweeney's message in regards to the notion that Julien's job may be in jeopardy.

"There is no such thing happening within the organization and these things are not happening internally," Sweeney confirmed.

The Bruins swept a mini road trip to Colorado and Arizona - outscoring the opposition 11-5 - and have a winning record with Zdeno Chara in the lineup.

After a bit of an overhaul during the offseason, Sweeney appears prepared to stay the course, for the time being at least.

A bit of an overhaul ???? Losing Lucic ( # 1 LW ), Hamilton ( # 2 Defenseman ), Soderberg ( # 3 Center ) and Smith ( # 2 RW ) is more than " a bit " of a roster change.
