They're the defending champs until someone eliminates them. I remember a while back when the Kobe and Shaq Lakers were down 3-1 against the Kings and came back and won the series and then the title. I don't think OKC are choke artist like the Kings but Golden State is a strong team.

No. They had plenty of rest between playoff series. Curry  is all banged up and that happened  during the playoffs. Draymond  Green playing like shit doesn't  help either. Warrior's "deathlineup " of going small was countered by OKC small lineup. OKC still bigger. Warrior's  can't  guard the rim with all the length OKC has. Offensive rebounding by the Thunder is killkng the Warriors. If the warriors  can force Westbrook  to shoot  jumpers instead of him driving for layups the Warriors will see another day.

He's  the face of the NBA now.

Probably because it's the prototypical comeback in sports, Nostradamus.

If Curry can play 5 more injury free seasons, he absolutely will be regarded as one of the top 10 all time.

So what you are saying is that it won't happen?

No, they're just playing a way better team right now.

That's the rub, he needs about 5 more seasons at this level to be considered top 10 of all time.

So what you are saying is that it won't happen?

Absolutely not saying that.  However, I am using the Derrick Rose test.  5 seasons ago, after he'd won his MVP and was looking like the second coming of Isiah Thomas, people were jumping on the Rose bandwagon saying he was absolutely going to go down as one of the greatest of all time.  Then the injuries happened, and now not only is he out of the discussion, he's more or less just an afterthought.

Same thing could happen to Curry, thus the caveat.  But--as Curry enters his prime, mind you--even if he just has five average (for him) healthy seasons, he'll absolutely be in the GOAT discussion.

Never count out the team facing elimination!! I'm surprised that the Blues lost last night in SJ. Golden State can still pull this out.
