Since alot of us were hit w a 'snow day' sort of I though we could look back at games that were affected by rain, snow, wind, whatever

How about the 1988 NFL playoffs? Eagles vs Bears 'Fog Bowl' . Couldn't even see (on TV) what was happening.

Not exactly weather related but the earthquake that stopped the world series was pretty extreme.

Then there was the Steelers at Dolphins Monday night game that should have never been played due to field conditions right after a hurricane

Grey Cup 1962.  The Greatest game no one ever saw.

Had to be played over 2 days with Winnipeg won 28-27 over Hamilton.  The final 9 and a half minutes of the game were played on December 2nd after being called with that much time left on December 1st.

June 15, 1976 - The MLB game between the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates and the hometown Houston Astros was "rained out" as a massive flood hit the Houston area. No one could get in the building!

The Twins and Angels had a game at the Metrodome in 1986 that was impacted by strong wind gusts and heavy rain outside. It caused the inflatable roof to momentarily lose its shape while lights and speakers inside began to visibly sway. Then the strain of the elements on the Metrodome's misshapen roof caused the inner layer of its two layer Teflon roof to partially tear above the seating in upper right field. The outer layer was not torn and wasn't in jeopardy, so no deflation took place. The game was delayed for about 20 minutes with players and umps going to the clubhouses and fans removed from the seating deck to the concourses. The worst of the weather passed and the roof stabilized at which point all parties returned and the game continued as normal to its conclusion.

The Bucs defeated the Chiefs in week 16 of the 1979 season. The game was played in a torrential downpour and the final score was 3-0. The total offensive yardage in the game escapes me, but from recollection it was one of the lowest totals in the modern era of the NFL. Shots of the rain cascading down the steep steps of Tampa Stadium's seating deck became a regular feature of NFL Films for years afterward.
