He's a lunkhead but 16 TDs vs 4 INTs last year. He's 29 years old and has started a Super Bowl. Known for his running ability which clocks in at 6.8 yards per rush.

Consider the plight of the alternatives this offseason.

Josh McCown, 20 losses in his past 22 games. 38 years old. He got signed by the New York Jets.

Mike Glennon has thrown all of 11 passes over the previous two seasons. He just signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the Chicago Bears.

Mark Sanchez also was signed by the Bears. He's awful.

Nick Foles is being paid $27.5 million to not start in Philly.

The San Francisco 49ers decided journeyman career reserve Brian Hoyer deserved another shot, and also exhumed the flagging career of Matt Barkley.

He hasn't been blackballed. The people in the know have finally realized that he can't play. Of all the guys listed above, Kap is bar far the least intelligent one of the bunch. He is incapable of pre-snap reads and changing plays, something that is a must for QB's in 2017. I understand everyone can't be Peyton Manning when it comes to pre-snap reads, but nobody's worse than Kap.

Another reason nobody wants him is the fact that he lost his locker room and teammates a full year before he started his fake protests.

And the number one reason he hasn't been signed is because he's asking way too much money. He's a backup QB at best and he's asking $8-$10 million per year. That's not happening. He hasn't been blackballed, he's just delusional and most people are finally figuring him out.

Kaepernick=drama queen. He is also a dumb shit. All he had to do is pick up his player option of 7 mil with the Niners. The dummy also renegotiate his original contract to be team friendly. The niners could have been stuck with 14 mil contract. He bet on himself and lost.

He is a distraction. From a performance standpoint, he would be a very good backup QB. Who needs the headache though from a hypocrite who didn't even vote?

I respect his first amendment rights. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that you are free from negative repercussions for exercising that right.

Being blackballed suggests that the league and its teams have jointly conspired to keep Colin Kaepernick out of the NFL. There's no way that's the case. Most teams don't want to deal with the PR blowback from taking him on when he's not likely to be a starter and would serve as a distraction. That said, desperate times call for desperate measures. Multiple teams will have QBs that get hurt or who play terribly and one of them will eventually sign Kaepernick, even if it's a little bit into the season. I've also heard that his inability to get a team has as much to do with unrealistic expectations about salary and playing time as any national anthem controversy.

If Tannehill is out for an extended period of time, and it now looks like he will be, Kaepernick will be starting for the Fins on opening day. The blackballing talk will be gone, and as long as he doesn't pull a Michael Vick on the Jets and Steelers he will be back in the league for a number of years.

If he pulls a Vick, he will either be done permanently, or end up like Mark Sanchez, taking a major cut in pay to sit on the sidelines somewhere.

I bet they look at Ponder, Manziel, Freeman and RGIII before they give kaepernick a tryout.

They are discussing a deal with former Bear Jay Cutler.

They signed Cutler to a one year deal ($10mil). There's no way they were gonna sign Kaep. Being a Castro sympathizer in Miami is a big no-no. They would sign Mr. Baseball Tim Tebow before signing Kaep.
