Professional football league.

Before signing to play in this league, you would need to sign a waiver indicating that you are fully aware that receiving contact to the body, specifically the head region, could cause irreversible negative harm and your physical and mental health (of course that was a simple layman’s version).

The league would stil have rules about spearing and such but not this nitpicking of “contact“ rules that are being implemented now on an annual basis.

Players would be allowed to play.

Do you think the NFL would try and crush this league alone with bad PR?

According to current players, they would rather maintain the contact t that is in the game now.

This contact issue will sooner than later be implemented in the Pee Wee and school leagues, so these contact issues will eventually decrease rapidly on their own.

I would love to see a league like this.

I think it would have to be a small league (too large and the talent is watered-down too much) with some players (pro and college) that people know. is thiso TV? and what time of the year?

I do think there is room for an XFL/USFL somewhere. In selected cities.

Do you think the allowance of the play to remain somewhat violent with contact would be appealing to many possible audience members? I know a lot of people are tired of the safety precautions and the restrictive and time-consuming rules and penalties.

The overall quality of play is what is important.

Sounds like the original XFL. And that bombed because quality of play was god awful. If you could increase the quality of play so that you are even on the level of the CFL, it would have a shot to succeed. Because nobody would really be able to compare it to the NFL unless an NFL fringe player joined the league and became its MVP. That is another thing that you cannot predict, that people would want to watch NFL castoffs compete. The WLAF failed badly because of this and the games I went to were really good.

XFL had all those weird frills and dumb add-on activities.

Why would an NFL quality QB want to play in a league where their safety is not protected? I'm guessing they are not going to, so you are going to end up with the Johnny Manzels of the quarterbacking world & therefore have complete shit for offense. That means no one would watch it.

You could still protect the QBs with rules that have been on the books for over a decade.

The new CTE rules are junk and ruining the game. In fact, QB sneaks which are liked by QBs may be banned this season.
