The Cavs could have won Game 1 if not for the JR Smith fiasco and that clearly led to the Warriors proverbially punching them in the mouth in Game 2. However, the Cavs will have a rabid home crowd for the next two games and LeBron James will be in the zone. Even though the Warriors are very likely going to win the series, I see the Cavs taking one of the games in Cleveland.

You expect some biased officiating Tamalie?

I mean, home court advantage is a factor.

Not consciously, but I honestly believe the refs subconsciously give some borderline calls to the home team, especially when the crowd is amped up and the score is close.

As long as LeBron is breathing, the Cvas have a chance.

A little off-topic, but one book I read recently was 'Scorecasting' and it was about the things that influence and change the results of things in sports.

One of the topics was 'Does home-field/home court/home-ice advantage exist'?

The answer is yes and really in every sport, the home team wins about 58% of the time, whether it be soccer, hockey, football, basketball. etc

You could attribute it to the visiting team being fatigued (from travel) or the home team just having 'home cooking' and knowing the bounces of the ballpark or arena they play in I suppose.

The topic of 'officials' being influenced by the crowd is tackled. The one I remember off the top of my head was in baseball. If a batter does not swing at a pitch, there is a 60% chance the umpire will call the pitch a 'strike'.

if the batter has two strikes on him already, the percentage dropped to 30%

And if your name was Derek Jeter (he was still playing when the book was written) and the game was in Yankee Stadium the pitcher had no shot (10% chance) of getting a third strike call.

Warriors could lose one game. They prefer to win it at home at game 5. Lebron needs another 50+ just for Cavs to compete.
They beat Houston in Houston twice. Game one and seven. Houston much more talented than Cleveland.

If Chris Paul didn't get hurt it'd most likely be Cavs vs Rockets.
