Turner Sports on Thursday set the suggested retail price of $19.99 for the Tiger Woods-Phil Mickelson pay-per-view telecast.

Providers for the pay-per-view will include Turner's B/R Live platform, DirecTV, AT&T U-verse and others.

The match, which will be played on the Friday of Thanksgiving weekend at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, will begin at noon locally (3 p.m. ET).

The winner will take home the entire $9 million pot.

During the match, Woods and Mickelson will make side challenges against each other, with winnings being donated to the golfer's charity of choice.

Sources said fans won't be able to watch the matchup live in person, as there will be no on-site tickets sold.

The Westgate in Las Vegas has made Woods (-180) the favorite over Mickelson (+150).

Not even if it’s a barbed wire flaming table winner fucks the nanny match.

In 1999 this would have been huge. I can't see paying for this today.

Phil vs. Tiger on PPV feels like such an early 1990s idea. Tiger has looked better this year than in ages, but he's not the player or icon he once was. With no gallery, the atmosphere might be lacking although if the two are mic'd up and conversational, it could make of that somewhat. I'm not sure what kind of buy rate they expect. Apart from big boxing matches and UFC, the big event PPV market is dying and has been for a few years.

I have literally heard NOTHING about this anywhere except in this thread. Either beejmi is lying or this PPV has Impact's marketing dept. working for them.

I have seen that they expect a million buys. Still, I don't think that is enough. You would have to be a very strong golf fan to buy this. I am a fan and I won't. The whole concept is flawed. Basically, this is a long episode of Shell's Wonderful World of Golf. They are playing with other people's money so that aspect isn't real. They are supposedly making side bets but something tells me that won't be with their own money either.

The entire thing seems contrived.

I hope there's a drunk John Daly run in swinging a club with a cigar in his mouth.  For that I might have paid 25 bucks.

Finally saw something about this a few minutes ago on Bleacher Report. Phil won.

Golf is still getting the hang of this thing.

Should have ended with Mickelson celebrating, Tiger lurking in the area, sneak attack and bends a club over Mickelson's head.

Rematch next month.

...and the PPV was a complete failure. Both Comcast and Turner are refunding ALL purchases due to technical issues. They were the two largest providers.

I'm not a 'live stream' type but I saw/heard they were everywhere

So they're refunding 3 purchases?

I don't understand how something this big can get so fucked up.  ROH has figured out PPV, you'd think the PGA could get it right.
