|The "Tony the Tiger Bowl" is officially the "Sun Bowl", I believe. Slapping a corporate sponsor on an existing bowl name usually downgrades it or makes it sound comical.
For awhile in the early 90's, the Fiesta Bowl was officially "The IBM OS/2 Fiesta Bowl". I think it's now the "Cheez-it Fiesta Bowl".
Advocare (sorta' like Amway) has slapped their name on a few bowls, like the "Advocare Texas Bowl".
One that, I think, was exclusively created with a corporate name, and not tacked on to an existing bowl name, was the "Blockbuster Bowl".
An old non-corporate bowl name that I always thought sounded funny was "The Raisin Bowl". It was originally in Fresno in the 40's. A separate bowl (with corporate sponsorship) returned to Fresno in the 80's as "The California Raisin Bowl".
