Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Technically not "minor league", they're independent, meaning the players are all free agents as far as MLB is concerned. They've had Tracy McGrady, Roger Clemens, and Rafael Palmeiro all playing under one-week contracts. 5 bucks to park, GA tickets are only $8 (if you get there early, you can commandeer a table in the Bud Light pavilion, the only place in the park where you can get bottled beer). Of course now they're shut down like everyone else.

We had the Bridgeport Bluefish for over 20 years, one of the most successful Independent League teams around. As far as Northeast Baseball goes, they outdrew the Rockies AA team in New Haven and pretty much pushed them out (or they left because of the money they weren’t making). Then, the City of Bridgeport in their infinite wisdom decided they should rebuild the ballpark into an amphitheater because they could make more money with concerts instead of baseball games. So they went out of business after the 2018 season.

We have the Connecticut Sun that plays at Mohegan Sun Casino. Never went to a game, but I went to their Beerfest on October 5. After we were done, my wife went into the Ladies Room. I did what I always do when she does that - I lean on the wall next to the Ladies Room door. And a minute after that, Elena Delle Donne walked out of the Ladies Room and parked her fine lesbian ass right next to me. As I was staring at her, she smiled at me and I wanted to say something but I felt like a total creep. Then my wife walked out and asked why I was staring at her - and I said “She’s the MVP of the WNBA”. And my wife said, “Well then, I guess I have a better shot at that than you do.” True story.

If Ultimate fighting is considered "pro" team.I will say AKA American Kicking Boxing. Its where Daniel Cormier trains. Saw Hershal Walker and Bobby Lashley there too about 10 yrs ago. My cousin is part owner and a trainer there.

I got the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League just a stones throw away. Not affiliated with any MLB as a farm team but always good baseball for a fraction of the price of an MLB game in a new and modern stadium.

I go to Rockland Boulders games sometimes. Unaffiliated independent league baseball. Dave LaPoint used to be their manager and now it’s Kevin Baez.

Birmingham City, obviously. Second-tier football.

Warwickshire County Cricket Club. Based in Birmingham. Generally a power in the game, seven times champions, winners of an unprecedented treble in 1994, during which time Brian Lara broke the world record for a highest first-class score (501).
