Kicks off TONIGHT. (Yes there is a game)

Chicago At Washington - both teams 5-7 - whoever loses this one gets tagged with loss #8 and has a shitload of teams to climb over to get into the playoffs and needs a lot of help. For the winner, there is hope.

Discuss.

I don't know if my Chiefs are going to win another game.

I've said for about 6 years now that Todd Collins deserved a second chance. I'm happy for him.

So the Skins win last night and from what I can tell they earn the right to get to "do math" for another week or two.

He was Jim Kelly's replacement for a year.

Wow.  I don't remember that at all.

Oh it's Sunday.

Dallas is at Detroit presumably ready to get revenge on the lions for the final week fiasco last year. otherwise I can't see why Dallas shows up.

NY Giants are at Philly. Giants can put the nail in the Bird's coffin here.

San Diego is at Tennessee in an AFC matchiup with playoff implications.

Cleveland is at the Jets. Jets playing "loosey goosey" having won two out of three (vs Pitt and vs Miami)

Pittsburgh is at New England. Why watch? The Steelrs say they are going to win. We'll see about that.

The suddenly hot Vikings are in San Fran. KC at Denver.

The Colts are at Baltimore in the Sunday nighter  and the Monday tilt has the Saints "marching in" to Atlanta.

Discuss ~

Watching the Dallas game...

I missed the 1st quarter. Anyone know why Detroit is pooch kicking all the kickoffs. I wasn't aware that Chicago had traded Devin Hester to the Cowboys. Is the kicker hurt or something?

Other than that, Dallas sure does look shitty. We have also been on the good end of a few bad calls. I am sure that this will bring out a few crybabies. (I won't mention any names, KK) Going into the 4th, Dallas is down by 13.

Other thoughts...

- Who the hell is B. Berlin, QB for the Rams? I don't remember Ferrotte getting hurt.

- The Texans are whuppin' up on the red hot Bucs. Very nice to see. I still think that if the Texans could stay healthy for a full year, they could make a nice run.

- Looking forward to the Pats/Steelers.

Ferrotte hurt his shoulder last week. Bulger suffering from a concussion - not even in good enough shape to do his "I played five minutes now I am done for the game" routine.

The Rams QB was Brock Berlin, who was a humongous recruit coming out of high school. He had a rocky career at Miami.

Speaking of Miami, these last 3 Dolphins games are must-see-TV. They were absolutely hilarious to watch today. The Bills looked like shit other than in the running game and still easily blew them out.

This sets up a Bills-Browns game next week with a possible wild card berth on the line

Hurd ran back a kickoff to midfield. And apparently, Detroit is one of the worst kickoff coverage teams in the league.

Never in doubt.
Unfortunately, the game was close enough to give ammunition to the haters, but of course, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Scoreboard.

I'd hate to be the jizz mopper for the CBS booth in Foxboro. I thought Nantz was gonna run out to midfield and propose to Brady.

Berlin is from Shreveport, LA and played highschool ball for Evangel Christian Academy,  a local private school powerhouse.  Evangel has produced many good highschool/college QB's (and other players) most notably Josh Booty, his brother Abram (a WR, played at LSU) and current USC QB and little brother John David Booty.

Jacob Hester, the LSU RB played there.

Berlin was starting QB at Evangel for 3 years and won 3 straight State Highschool championships and was undefeated 2 of the 3 seasons.

I think Berlin started out Florida before transfering to Miami.  But I may be wrong.
