I hate Crosby, so the Flyers winning is prettymuch wishful thinking on my part.

Hawks beat Calgary in overtime last night. The United Center was rocking like the old Chicago stadium did. For one night at least, the UC was the mad house on Madison.

Mike Keenan needs to shave his head.

i'm starting to hate the double standard that the league has for calling penalties. there are one set of rules for the Flyers and another for the rest of the league. it's starting to become to obvious.

I know they just started but good so far.  The Caps/NYR game was replayed last night.  Odd?

That's the price you pay for having your franchise legacy built on thuggery. I know all the cool kids hate Sid Crosby and the Pens, but Philly took some silly ass penalties in game one and their coach looked like a crybaby bitch complaining about it.  Yeah he really needed to send in the goon squad to protect his team from Bill Guerin.

It's more a player-to-player bias IMO, which is just as wrong.

See "Squid Camalleri not getting suspended for doing exactly the same thing that Dan Carcillo did the previous night off a faceoff" for reference.

Andre Roy on the Flames does what Camelleri did and he's gone for at least a game, if not two. That ain't right any way you look at it.

Now THAT game 2 win by NYR was awesome.  It was a nice game.

You've also got the Thomas Holmstrom crease rules... His ass broke the plane, so a goal was disallowed.  Even though that's not what the rule states.  So the next game they change the rule and disallowed a goal when he stuck his stick into the crease to poke at a puck that was in the crease.  Excuse me?  That's not a rule either, but we can't have the Red Wings winning games.

:?

This would sound less like a fanboi rant if the Wings weren't so successful for, oh, the last ten years or so.

That's my point.  The refs are making up rules because the Wings are successful.  Thomas Holmstrom has to be 3 feet away from the crease area to not be considered in the crease.  Call the shit straight.
