I thought it was good. No way better than the 80's show.

Way too much on the first show. As some one said its like Russo booked V.

They come to earth on the first show and already we are fighting them?

I know they been here for year but come on.

It was the Raven-Richards feud from WCW.  They took 3 years of ECW angles and condensed it into 1 Nitro.  Only Raven and Richards are better actors than anyone on V.  That Party of Five guy was really exposed last night.  He embarrassed himself.

I don't watch much current TV so I don't know what popular shows flow like but the rushed nature of the 1st episode didn't bother me much. If the whole series is like that I will get burned out but now that everything has been established I think it will slow down.

I enjoyed the Nazi / Visitor similarities of the original V & I doubt this series will do anything that comes across as powerful but I'll still tune in for the duration.

sci-fi skein “V” drew a 5.0 rating and 13 share, with 13.9 million viewers tuning in, making it the highest-rated series debut of the new season.

Lots of nostalgia in that rating. We'll see how it goes next week.

The acting in the show makes the bolded part of your statement a certainty.

I will try and watch it again next week...I liked it but that might have been because it was familiar, which makes the lousy parts easier to watch ( I already hope the blonde chick's kid gets eaten by a Visitor REALLY soon).

Had V never been done before now, I think the first episode could have easily turned into a 4 or 5 show arc, and it would have been much better for it. But, since it is a remake, I suspect the producers just said "fuck it" and established everything as quickly as possible so they can move on to their own spin on the show (the resistance, the fighting, etc.). From that standpoint I can forgive how rushed it was, but as Franchise said, if they don't slow down some I'll be burned out on it quickly.

On a seperate Sci-Fi note, I picked up the Prequel movie from Battlestar Galactica, "The Plan", yesterday. That's a show I miss a lot.

Just wanted to pipe in and say I enjoyed it, but do agree that it seemed very rushed - too much too soon.

On the Babe alert, the V leader is smoking hot, the blonde V-girl is even better, and the FBI-mom is a good cougar

I always loved the part in the first mini series where the station is going to do a live inturupt w/ Mike & his tape & every station looses signal & then up pops Christine w/ a message from John. The shot of John @ the podium w/ the Nazi like symbols really hooked me @ the time.

I don't know that I've ever seen anything that seemed so real that wasn't.

ABC’s V dropped 29% To A 3.7 adults 18-49 rating on Tuesday night. That’s the largest % drop from a premiere to a second episode this fall. Even with that big drop, a 3.7 rating is very good. V is still likely to be ABC’s #3 show this week behind Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy, but where it settles is what matters, and that will likely not be known until it returns in the spring.

Last nights show was the best so far. I was still on the fence about the show. However after last nights show I am hooked and cant wait to see how things play out.

Of course seeing the blonde V-girl in her bra and panties helped:)
