BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut — A judge has ordered CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz to pay his ex-wife $916,000 a year in alimony and child support.
Monday's ruling comes after Nantz and his ex-wife, Lorrie, testified about the breakdown of their 26-year marriage. Bridgeport Superior Court Judge Howard Owens concluded neither was at fault.
Nantz must pay $72,000 monthly in alimony until he dies or his ex-wife remarries, (betcha she doesn't) and another $1,000 weekly in child support for their 15-year-old daughter, Caroline, for the next two years. Lorrie Nantz will get their six-bedroom home in Westport.
Court documents cited Jim Nantz's $3.2 million salary from CBS and other yearly assets.
Nantz's attorney says Nantz will not appeal the decision.

If he only gets $3.2 million overall in salary, he is fucked...cut that in half after taxes, so $1.6, then a million of that off the top to her...wow...

What a world we live in. It doesn't even pay for Nantz to get married again either.
The kid is the only one that loses out in the whole deal as she only gets a grand a week. The Mother is the only one who wins here.
For those that know, would common law count as being married again?
SHE COULD START SEEING A GUY, MOVE IN WITH HIM AND THEY COULD LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER FOR THE REST OF JIM NANCE'S LIFE, without getting married and ALL ON JIM NAnce's dime.
Anyone got any pictures of Lorrie?
Maybe I should move to Bridgeport. I can be a good stepdad to Caroline, that is if I don't have to marry her Mother. As soon as she starts talking about marriage, I'm outta there.

Yeah I just read this article and it really tells a different side. Poor Jim, I actually like his work.
Jim Nantz Tears Up in Court During Divorce Trial, Reveals He Has a 29-year-old GirlfriendJim Nantz, the CBS announcer, is getting a divorce from his wife of 26 years, Lorrie. Jim Nantz cried in front of a judge this week while talking about how their marriage deteriorated due to her “lack of support for his career and [her] excessive spending.” Nantz, who makes more than $7 million a year while calling golf, college basketball, and the NFL for CBS, also revealed on the stand that he has a 29-year-old girlfriend, whom he met while promoting his last book, “Always By My Side.” Jim Nantz is 50. “In 2004, I got the Man of the Year award from the New York Athletic Club. Rudy Giuliani had been the previous year’s winner and it really meant a lot to me,” he said, his eyes welling with tears. “My mother flew in from Houston, but Lorrie wasn’t there.” Nantz said he was given an oil portrait of himself at the dinner, but Lorrie wouldn’t let him hang it in their Westport home. “It ended up in a warehouse,” he lamented.
The Nantz’s have a full-time nanny/housekeeper for their 15-year-old daughter. Lorrie Nance is seeking alimony in excess of $1.5 million a year, in addition to their 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom house in Westport, Connecticut.

We may have to get Stingmark a plaque (with that quote engraved on it) for the holidays this year.

Shape it like Cornette's tennis racket and it'd be perfect.

That's what she deserves and she already got it. She whored herself out to a rich dude for 26 years (well he was rich for most of it anyway) and got to live that lifestyle despite doing nothing, and she doesn't deserve a penny monre.
I love how "Bridgeport Superior Court Judge Howard Owens concluded neither was at fault" yet one party is paying $1 million a year to the other party. Sure sounds like one is at fault to me.

It's Nantz fault. He never had to marry her.
If more of these men would take my lead, and marry a woman who makes more than them, they'd be the ones riding the alimony pony if they split, especially in a no fault state where the guys could just bang the shit out of some side pussy, and still get awarded $$$ regardless of how shitty a sposue they were.

Remember though, he's probably deriving other income. Plus alimony is a tax deduction to the payor, So if his salary was 3.2 milllion, he'd only pay income tax on the amount of income after alimony was payed out, or @ 2.2 million. So he'd be looking at @ 1.2 milllion in net income, then she'd be liable for taxes on the 1 million she got, and net @ 500k or so each year.
Plus alimony is modifiable based on income changes. So when he's not making the $$$ at CBS anymore, he goes back and gets it reduced based on new income.
